It's alright. I can barely bake unless it's come with packet of instructions already XD.

Nice!

let me show you how to bake.
1 sweet potato + oven = baked sweet potato.
done in 30!
well, even if it's raw after 30, it's still edible! :)
It will be raw! No temperature guide! :blob_shock:
I literally imagined someone put a potato in the oven and wait for 30min then pulling it out.
Like tada!:blob_happy:

Alright, time to bust out my poor's man Brazilian meal. Well, it's actually a Berber food that was adapted to Northeastern Brazil.

Ingredients:
  • Cornmeal, about a cup
  • Salt, half a teaspoon
  • Water, three fourths of a cup
  • One of the following:
    • Butter, two teaspoons (optional)
    • Milk, a quarter to half a cup (optional)
Tools needed:
  • Wooden spoon or hands to mix
  • Steaming pot, more specifically a Couscoussier but I believe anything similar could do
The process:
  • Add the cornmeal and the salt and mix it well;
  • Slowly add the water there in small measures as you mix, add more or less water depending as needed. You will want the consistence of wet sand.
  • Let it rest, covered, for 10 minutes for the cornmeal to hydrate;
  • Prepare the steamer pot you'll use and start adding the mix on it;
  • Press it down a bit, but make sure to make it not too compact;
  • Place it over medium heat and wait for steam to begin to form up top, then wait 10~15 minutes. It all should take between 25~30 minutes in total;
  • Take it off the heat, let it cool down a bit and then take it off the pot either by flipping it on a plate or slowly scooping it out;
  • As an optional step, you may hydrate it with either a mix of water and melted butter or with milk;
  • Serve if forth with stew, meats or anything else you may like.
