R-Repairing an airship and having the basic awareness that your entire plane of reality shifted are two different skills!

But... well, as most things in my story they end up as passing mentions.

It could be a plot point, I guess~ Considering the quests I'm taking are very focused on the surface.
I'm just waiting for the day your character say, "Huh where did this bolt come from" and see an explosion

Basic Information
NameMelos / メロス
Brandメロン クリームソーダ
Man. Date06/04/2021
Exp. Date01/24/---- (The rest seems to have been scratched off...)
OccupationWandering Merchant
MotivationLoves to sell unique wares to passerby's
Appearance
On the surface, Melos appears to be a normal bottle straight from a Japanese vending machine. The cap and plastic wrap around the bottle are both green, but the base bottle itself is completely transparent. Its manufacture date and expiration date can be found on its underside, however, for some reason some parts of its expiry date have been scratched off, making the latter half unreadable. Another strange thing about its appearance is the content of the bottle itself. An observer simply looking upon Melos's body will notice a creamy liquid making up for about most of its body's insides. However, when one attempts to open Melos up and look into its contents from above, they will see nothing but void within Melos's body. It is almost as if light itself does not exist within the body of this bottle.
Skills
Sodaproduction
Melos can create creamy melon-flavored soda in its body indefinitely. The rate at which it creates soda is comparable to the speed of which a standard kitchen faucet spews water. It can also launch the soda out of its body. This skill is often used in conjunction with other skills in Melos's arsenal.
Sodakinesis
Melos can move objects that have been soaked by its creamy melon-flavored soda at will. This includes Melos itself, as its bottle body contains the very liquid itself. The strength that sodakinesis is able to put into affected targets is about equivalent to the strength of an angsty teenage boy with anger issues.
Sodapropulsion
Melos can use the creamy melon-flavored soda in its body to propel itself towards its desired destination. While the speeds it can achieve while using its melon soda are rather impressive, it is difficult to steer the direction at which it flies mid-flight even with the help of Melos's other ability, sodakinesis.
Sodapathy
Melos can exchange thoughts with sentient creatures that have been soaked by its creamy melon-flavored soda. Affected targets need only to be soaked in Melos's melon soda once to be able to converse with Melos indefinitely. As only thoughts are being exchanged in the process of sodapathy, the matter of spoken tongues between caster and target is a non-issue.
Soda of Carrying
Melos can store objects that have been soaked by its creamy melon-flavored soda in its body, even if they should physically be unable to go down the mouth of the bottle. Melos itself is unaware of how much it can store in its body, however, it claims that it is likely unable to store much. Objects stored within Melos's body are affected by the passage of time and the aftereffects of getting soaked by soda, making items like paper impossible to properly store within Melos without turning into mush and smelling like creamy melon soda.
Inventory
Shoddy Merchant Cart
Melos uses this cart as a mobile shop stand. There's a small functioning vending machine installed on the side of the cart.
Soda Alchemy Kit
A strange alchemy kit centered around creating magical... soda? Perhaps calling them soda potions would be more appropriate.
Magical Refrigerator
Melos sleeps inside this refrigerator whenever it gets tired.
Personality
Melos is a very cheerful sentient soda bottle that loves to trade. It enjoys the sight of customers enjoying its products. It also favors reoccurring customers, giving them some extra service whenever it can. Melos also loves to wander, so it's difficult to catch it in the same place on the same week.
History
Nobody knows where Melos is from. It just suddenly appeared one day, cart in tow, and began selling soda potions and other strange items to adventurers. When asked about its origins, it refuses to elaborate on its past, often remarking that, "the past is the past, and the present, when I'm selling you my products, is all that matters."
Woah.....

Oh no... :sweating_profusely:

Just when I was thinking of joining in...
Dont see what stopping u....
@ohko Just a question, what does Sir Gawrgura look like in terms of skin and hair? I'm considering giving their yet unnamed house certain physical traits. Totally not going to use gura as a reference
I hadn't decided! If you or @BouncyCactus decide on something (since Sir Gawrgaru is literally in the tavern with us), we can go with that!
I totally picture Gawrgaru as that buffed saido chesto gura from that one fan animation lol. BUT seriously dude! I didn't know I was playing New Age Chess! Damnit, I shoulda loaded my story with wacky characters for occasion like this.
Rose is a demonlady. As for coming over to SA, I was thinking of just starting in the middle and then filling stuff that happened before afterwards.

It isnt, but it can be ~ :blobrofl:
My bad. I dunno why I remembered Rose as draconic.... Sure, you could always start in the Freestyle RP and tagged me in, and we see what kind of shit fun we could get into. I recommended the setting as Sky Harbor, giving that it is the capital of SA.

Okay so I am thinking of going with essentially a bunch of city-states each headed by a ruler, usually a dragon.

My idea is that dragons are usually thought of as magical, powerful, intelligent, gold loving, long lived and most importantly, prideful and prefer to go solo.

So the idea is that the "country / tribe" of dragons needs to be in essence loosely ruled for the most day-to-day part but with a heavy authority otherwise. They wont be democratic or hereditary, but would be based on a system of pride, power and honour. I am thinking of using something akin to a Village Assembly.

My current plans for hierarchy amongst dragons is to have,
  1. None of the positions are hereditary, mostly coz hereditary doesn't exactly work when peeps live for dozens of millennia.
  2. A group of five at the top - there decision is the final one and they only make decisions in case something affects the whole country or their is no other way to solve the dispute.
  3. Any position can be obtained by beating the previous holder in an honorable duel.
  4. The above point is open to everyone, and by everyone, I mean every species within the country / tribe. It is just that for most of recorded history, even dreaming of beating a dragon solo is something most species would considering something only fit for the insane.
  5. As such for the most part, the ones in charge are the dragons - there have been exceptions ofc, there have been records of city states being ruled by exceptional individuals of other species.
  6. The duels for each top position are different (Raw Strength, Intelligence, Magical Prowess, A game of Aoe2 *cough* The one with most gold, The ruler of the capital city)
The geography of the country will be,
  1. The whole country is a collection of snow-covered mountain ranges littered with mountain cities.
  2. There is a central dragon tribe living on the largest mountain - this is where the group of five are situated and where Rose was taken in by the dragons. This is also where important buildings such as the Grand Library is situated.
  3. Other cities are on nearby mountains and are mostly independent of one another. All of them are allied and are obliged to follow the group of five. They are ruled over by someone who is usually a dragon.
  4. The other cities are sort of an outskirts, kinda,

Q. What stops the dragons from exploiting other races and owning massive amounts of slaves whose job is to do nothing but dig more gold?

A. It is the belief amongst the dragons that everyone, even other species, have their own honour that should be respected. In case a dragon doesnt adhere to it, the other dragons will beat the shit out of it.

The dragons also sort of mellow down with age, as long as it is not something staining their honour or life threatening.
