Writing Prompt A child that returns through time to save her parents

Simply Summer Pockets but from the point of Umi.
So the idea is to come from a single-parent family, endure hardships. Find some magic to leap back into time and face challenges to save his/her parents.
I want some wholesome family content without the baby-making for once. (I mean it is up to you if you want to do an R-18 on a child but sure...)

Imagine messing with your parents' love lives...sounds pretty fun to me.
And god those shoulders still creep the shit out of me everytime.

Well the mother died during childbirth in that VN. The mother herself had the power to read the future and knew she would die but still chose to give birth. Still a bit unrealistic in my opinion.

That is why it is a difficult single-parent family thingy, she somehow got raised up to a child. This is the writer's creative freedom.
My assumed plot to the story would be she went to find her mother. So that is the journey before the time travel unless you want to skip to time traveling straight. All creative freedom.

Heh I also have a large plot outline for this based on summer pockets, but I won't have the time to touch it with my novels in hand. I thought might as well throw this idea out. It is vague enough to have a few people tackling this prompt in a few different ways imho.

That is another interesting way to twist it. Here it was single parent family conflict, but both are still applicable to the prompt.
