Hi there.
I'm currently working on the novel

My reader suggests me to find others can help me on proofreading and fixing grammar mistake. Since I'm not a native speaker.
Since I have no budget so sorry that I can't pay you. I'm not using Patreon or any platform since I'm writing novels as a hobby.
Anyone interested please PM me.
Thanks ≧◡≦

If you just want a proofreader, I honestly recommend you find a professional proofreader their rates are actually quite reasonable. around 3$ per 1k words. If you really really can't then "Grammarly" will usually catch the most glaring mistakes.

If you want an editor to help improve your grammar it would be wise to read more or take some toefl or ACT/SAT english lessons they will help you learn grammar much better than actually writing and having someone tell you what to do.

I'm sorry but most people aren't going to be willing to work for free. You have to be a bit of a self-starter with these sorts of things.

I did take a look at your writing and it's actually quite clean. I would recommend you add a little variety to your sentences. Having sentences all be relatively the same length makes your writing sound monotone. Make it short. Or you can make it long and flowing to make something a lot more descriptive. These are stylistic choices that help writing sound more natural and more inviting to read.

Good luck!

Really thanks for the advice. I just want my luck to see anyone interested after all.
Since this is the first novel I have ever written. I used to write alone a lot but this is the first time I post online.
Well, I have tried using Scibens and Grammarly before post online any chapter of my novel. Though they still say that i have a lot of grammar mistake which make me pretty nervous :blob_pout:

One suggestion that might help as well is that has helped me some is to download and use grammarly. It's available for browsers, Microsoft Office and other apps and while it's not always helpful it does come in handy

Wasn't saying you didn't, just was posting about it for if you didn't know about it. All good.

Nothing to see here, everyone!

Either you finish every English lesson, or blame your ham-fisted skills for creating basic mistakes. Then again, everyone makes a lot of mistakes... which is, instead of reflecting on how to avoid doing the same mistake or why they made a mistake. Unfortunately, they rely on someone to fix them. A sentence, I share, don't be like the ones' propriety that demands being spoiled - better of yet, just learn and learn with acute observation. Morally right or not, everyone doesn't have time to work their asses off without any reward. And if anyone does, then I'll let them be of their foolishness.

I spent 2-3 hours just editing my chapter ya and I write a story just because of passion. I usually write after work, since I work from 8 A.M to 9 P.M so my time on hand really limited.
I'm just asking if anyone interested since I'm not writing to sell my novel or put it on the Patreon platform, etc.
I have learned all the basics as I can, and little extra help if needed. It's not like I force anyone to be my editor, it will be great to find one and share one to enjoy build the novel together. This society is run with money, I know that
Even without an editor I just keep writing and release every day because I love writing.
My reader asks me to give it a try so I come here to post for recruitment.
If you ask me why I spent that much time even with the shitty English skill of mine, I just want to give my reader the best experience I can provide.

If you're passionate enough to spend 2-3 hours just editing your own chapter, then maybe you could lend those time to learning some basic way of writing, tips, and tricks, and proper way to use punctuation marks, ellipsis, and em/en dashes. That way, you'll be able to edit your chapters with proper knowledge - not by using your intuition to place them incorrectly.

I usually write after work. I often finish work at 9 P.M and come back home.
Alright, some irrelevant information but whatever, I'll bite. I often do this, so I'll say it, I efficiently use my time when I am working - so when I am finished with my main task, I switch tabs and learn things I really need to learn. If I can do this, and if you can't, then that's not my problem. You may have some kind of work that prohibits devices, but I don't think that even exists nowadays.

I'm just asking if anyone interested since I'm not writing to sell my novel.
Okay.... that doesn't make any sense. You're not selling your novel, you are looking for any interested editors. That's not gonna work, no one, I mean, unless it's your alt account will someone work for you for nothing to gain. Interested? Is someone dumb enough to work and waste their time over someone's novel. I assure you, no one does! Although, if you are only asking for someone (for a short amount of their time) to point their fingers over your novel's mistake and guide you, then that's fine. Just share some novels you've written in an online doc or your uploaded novels, so anyone can start suggesting advice. Otherwise, use Grammarly for your sake.

Alright, I get it. You are looking for someone interested, you are a passionate writer, and it seems like you could do fine alone. So why, is looking for an editor the only possible option to fix your grammar mistakes and make your novel better? With the way you write, yes, I could see some grammar mistakes which contradict your claim of learning all the basics. Grammar is a literal basic when it comes to writing. However, I won't lie, your grammar only needs some polishing until it gets better. Don't give up on writing!

No need to say it twice. Also, don't degrade yourself for what you are worth. If you want to give your reader the best experience, then you'll have to believe in yourself that you can write what your readers want. As long as you put your heart into the making, you'll be able to pull the best experience you can provide.
