The powers of a mod, silly. What are the powers?

I suggest you wouldn't. The more someone asks for information about mod powers, the more the mods become attracted to you. Usually, they banish anyone who knows their almighty power to an extent, but lately, they've been torturing them.More detail.

For your health, it's best not to involve yourself over the power of someone superior.
When you become a mod, you gain the powers of a mod. This abilities unique only to that role allows you to moderate the website, and thus fulfill the purpose of the shortened term ‘mod’. It is a status higher than merely being a member, but lower than being the owner of the site.More detail.
You gain the ability to not only pick a side, but to always influence the outcome of the conflict in your favor. What does becoming a mod do?
How would we even know if they abused their powers? But I guess they shouldn't be blamed, since they have to do so much work...One thing that I feel is being forgotten here is just how much dedication it takes to be a moderator (I've been one elsewhere).
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that it becomes a major part of your life. It seriously takes that much time and effort.
I am talking logging in multiple times per day, reading the majority of the posts, and passing occasional judgement.
Not a job I would ever want to do again.
In terms of powers...
Generally, editing or deleting anyone's posts, locking and unlocking threads, and (on some platforms) blocking users.
But as they say, With great power comes great responsibility.
That said, I have never seen a mod that didn't abuse their powers at least a little.

Ok, thanks for explaining it! :)Becoming a mod give a user special privileges on the site, generally to help manage the content other users submit to the site. This includes things like deleting posts that violate rules, moving threads to more appropriate locations, and handing out warnings. The exact permissions that a moderator has can be set when the moderator is configured. In order to have access to all of the M̶o̶d̶ ̶P̶o̶w̶e̶r̶ moderator tools and functionality, a user must explicitly be made a moderator. Adding a user to the Moderating user group does not make them a moderator. They must be added via Users > Moderators.

Divine powers.Agree.
Reminds of higher status in clash of clans. Some groups expected co's to do everything, including leadership and that can be tiring when its a grind to get people to do something. That can also be an issue with playing nice.
Mod is basically divine power given by SH/NU owner to help manage their site. Ofc, you have power to ban and stuff but then you got to always do your responsibility to help manage something. Sometimes that can be draining, other times people abuse it. As mod, have to be careful what one says or what one thinks cause that can be stir up a whole lot of problems and issues. And also whether to use your mod powers in a certain situation or not, because you may go overboard and abuse it or stuff.
