This is one day late, but I had to ask @Spica66 permission to post this in the forum.

SOMEONE ACTUALLY DID IT!

A few days ago, I brought out the thread about long title names over here: Forum Link

Apparently, someone took these words literally:
Why is there a limit of characters on this site?

Why are we not letting readers putting the entire synopsis in the title?!
Why are we limiting ourselves on what we can name our title?!
It's restricting our imagination!

Screw this. I want to have the world longest novel title in ScribbleHub.

It took just ONE PERSON, with enough imagination, to do it. I didn't even consider what I was typing out.

Not only the NOVEL TITLE is at max, but even the CHAPTER TITLE is also near or if not, already max characters.

The story isn't that bad either.

So here it is people, for all to read for its glory.

Just look at that long title! It's amazing isn't it.

I've done it before. Let me show you:

Reincarnated as a Schizophrenic Catgirl with a Justice Boner and Multiple Personalities. One of them Read too much Sherlock Holmes | Scribble Hub

But I'll admit, the idea is not originally mine. The long title meme has been around in Scribble Hub long before I registered.
You definitely didn't get the purpose of why this is different from yours. And what's the whole point of this entire thing.

You must been fun at parties.

It is unfortunate the story doesn't use truck-kun but it is good nonetheless

Ahh that's a little too mean, don't you think? If he doesn't get it explain it to him or something.
Sorry @AlterEs, I'm just quite upset. I am sure someone has done this before I join.

The fact that someone comes into butt in about their own novels makes it infuriating, and that the first thing the person thought off is sharing their own novel. It really spoils the fun.

@TunTun , what makes this unique is that it mock the very thing that authors do in regards to what I said in that thread. Unlike yours, the whole entire thing is not only to use max characters in chapter title and novel title but also write with an entire story about this running meme. I'm sure that's a first in this site.
I apologise for my sudden reaction.

Are you really going to accuse me of self-promoting, when the novel is not only hidden, but was also published under creative commons license? with the intended purpose of contributing to a SH Community project? :blob_catflip:

The novel is not even in my main account and not only that, but NONE of my accounts have a signature that promotes my works.

As for your other point, your thread pretty much reeks like "LOOK SOMEONE IS FINALLY MOCKING BIG TITLES HAHA."
Which is not true. It's been done before, I just provided you with my own example because it was easy to access. As for the rest of your response, I am only responding to what you wrote in the OP.

Personally, all these long titles, while slightly but not overly amusing, are still extremely stupid to me.

I'd sooner read a manual on how to properly stand/setup a public portable toilet. These long titles novels are pure parody/gags. A joke that people still seem to find funny for some dumbass reason.

I have to agree with @TunTun here. I think he just wanted to point out, the general idea has been done before.
Also have to agree. Sometimes we provide our own works as examples, but they are just examples to point out something. It isn't exactly to brag or self-promote, but its the closest example we have that we can freely use (if we pull other examples, we may be pulling others into a discussion they don't like being dragged into).

I just want here to enjoy, to share my excitement and happiness, and enthusiasm about a friend's work and yet, I'm getting such extremely negative reactions.

It's like organising a party to celebrate something and yet no one seems to be impressed and care about the party at all because they know that the kind of party that has been done before.

I have only gotten to the forum only quite recently this year and would have never known about what's happening before this.

What happened to share the joy with others? Is sharing happiness a bad thing? Why all the negativity?

And I thought the Scribblehub forum is any different. But I forgot that this is the Internet, during this isolation at home.

I regret posting this thread.

This thread doesn't even benefit me in anyway. I want to dig myself in a hole and just don't talk to anyone else in the forum.

Just a young adult who wants to share something funny and cool to see with anyone who is mildly interested. I see now there's no point trying to create this kind of cheerful and joyful threads anymore.

@HecaRegina hey dear,
I'm not telling you that you shouldn't share it. I thought it was pretty interesting.
But the way you replied back to TunTun sounded negative and that's what I disagreed with.
Being negative to someone but then wondering why getting negativity back is bit ironic.
And actually, TunTun wasn't trying to be negative to you initially before you got mad that he was self-promoting when he was not. He just wanted to share something too on this related topic of novels with long, long titles.

I still agree with your post and it is still lighthearted to share your experiences with what you found about creating the long titles. It was interesting. I just kinda disagree with how you talked to TunTun cause that was also negativity in its own way, especially if you interpret negativity as someone disagreeing with you and pointing something out.

Nah, this is just guilt-tripping. I literally made a neutral comment, and you gave me two really hostile responses. Is not like your friend isn't gaining free publicity when you link to their work.

You were snarky to him first, so are you really surprised that he gave a negative response? He was only sharing that he had done something similar before. As a "young adult," you should be able to take some criticism without melting into a puddle like the Wicked Witch of the West. Your guilt trip isn't even subtle; your manipulation tactics could use some work.

By the way, its normal for forums have disagreements. :)
I would say to still continue posting and spend time on the SH forum if you'd like.
You'll find there are some toxic ones, quite a bit of ones that you don't agree or meet eye to eye, and then there are some that are just trying to brighten the mood by being everywhere. It can be really useful since its a community of readers and writers.

I just want to separate a few things. There's a clear difference between those being toxic, and those that simply just disagree or pointing something out. I feel like sometimes we conflate the two when we shouldn't. Sometimes it helps to take a short time away from the forum and re-read it again and you can get a better understanding of how its perceived.

Now, while not every thread or comment post is well-received, you'll find some that will also agree with you on some posts. Or ones that will cheer up your day, or give interesting and helpful advice.

I still hope you have a good day. Everyone actually. :)

I was going to reply that instead of "Too Long", "So Long" sounds way better but I don't think I should :blob_hmm_two::blob_hmm_two::blob_hmm_two:
