Does my story fit on Scribble Hub?

LOL man this part right here is damn near legendary XDD

I've been saying this, first time someone agreed with me. At least openly anyway, though I'm well aware of numerous others who have said the same in private discord convos. Though I would edit this statement just a tad bit, and also add in "people who aren't able to handle the higher standards of RRL."

As for Wattpad, anything and everything from practically anywhere and everywhere is an improvement over Wattpad. Except perhaps for Webnovel.
I've been seeing this a lot and I've finally gotten the confidence to ask

What in the great green gracious fuck is RRL

the original name of RoyalRoad. It was shortened when it became a site for original fiction. RRL is when it started off as a translation site for Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. Or at least that's what I was told by someone who claims they worked with Wing during those days. I just kinda fell into the habit of using "RRL" since I used to regularly talk to some of the "veterans" of that era.

Damn I wish I had kept up with reading that. Like 45 volumes or something and I had gotten to Volume 11 when I just stopped reading.

Me too. Whenever I look up their site I still always have that "l" in royalroadl(dot)com.

By the way for @BenJepheneT , it's Royal Road Legends. It's the name of the game from the translated (from Korean) Litrpg web fiction Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. Like @Discount_Blade , I stopped reading it but somewhere in Volume 22. And there's also a web comic of it too.

Yo the MC is literally called Weed lmao
Not gonna lie, that's the very thing that got me started reading it. It's actually as far as I'm concerned, the best LitRPG/VRMMORPG type story translation I've ever read. Better than some of the good originals. I can't vouch for the manhua since I've never read it, but the LN/WN I was reading was damn good. I'd advertise it if I thought anyone would listen to me XDD

I'm not even sure why I stopped, but I think I was having legal troubles during that time period so that might have something to do with it.

*shrugs* It's because Ai-chan was editing a copy. So whatever issues the original copy has, will also appear in the copy. And since it's the editing of a copy of a copy, it looks worse.
You tried your best and i'm really thankful for that

Is it that difficult to get accepted to publish on RRL?

What is webnovel? (and are they seriously worse than wattpad?)
No, you can publish easily on RRL. The problem is the audience. They expect you to be as good as a traditionally published author from the get go, not understanding that traditionally published books went through an extensive process by several professionals instead of just the author. If your work is amateurish, they will tell you. And in some cases, they will make you want to quit, if you have thin skin.

And it's even worse if your story enters the domain of what Andur would write. While Andur himself is not the problem, his fans are. They would go to your story page and say something along the lines of, "This story is shit. Andur would write better." or "Don't waste your time with this story. Go read Andur." For the record, Andur writes fantasy.

Wow, Andur is still around? Haven't heard his name in literal years.

Ai-chan hasn't been in RRL for a few years. So this was an experience from a few years ago. Don't know if Andur fans still do this. Does Andur not write anymore? What happened to him?

I haven't seen him writing/posting since he rewrote his very first story and this was...at the latest....late 2019. If he's still around, he's quiet and not posting much. At one point he was everywhere, and now he's barely heard from. I don't know if he still writes.

The last thing I ever heard of him was he was pissing people off in discord.

I dunno. Never was a fan of his writing. Most of his stories were near-copies of one another, just different names and locations, which expresses a lack of plot variety.

Also, he was terrible at romance, and despite it being prominent in all of his stories, he never improved. All the women were always manipulative and extremely unpleasant and the men were always overly submissive. They also for some reason, could always be bribed with chocolate.

Your story would work just fine. If you want to stay on the trending page, just release your chapters two at a time.

How does that work? Separated per day?

I mean, I even get booted out from there because a bunch of readers don't like my story having a little bit of incest teasing on it. They probably were the one reporting it to the mods to be honest.

If you want to post it, post it. It would be good to have more varieties of genuine fantasy novels here. The more contemporary fantasy there is, the more it attracts that kind of crowd, which means more people will read Ai-chan's stories.

Ai-chan is sure that Tony would be happy to get more varieties too. Currently, this place has been populated mostly by the rejects of RRL and Wattpad, so getting more new blood unrelated to either one would be great. Many of those litrpg thingies were reposts by those from RRL hoping for more audience in a newer platform.

I would continue posting on RRL if they didn't take down my story.

I know RRL takes a particularly hard stance on smut, but thats about it. So why did they take your story down? I don't remember there being any smut in yours?

Can't be because of incest because there was a popular story there for a time that featured a brother and his twin older sisters. And it was the ONLY romance situation in the story. Can't remember its name because the dude removed it to sell in Amazon and never heard from him again.

But the incest romance was a prominent feature to the story. Whereas yours hints at it, his was full-on.

A mod contacted me and told me to erase any resemblance of incest in my story. So no teasing from Marina basically.

I refused so my story got removed.

Wow. Yeah that's new to me. No idea when they started attacking that sort of thing. Which mod? If it was Kanadaj, that guy's just a dick who has a boner for playing the highschool clique game and so you might've irritated one of his "posse" and he retaliated for them.

Maybe the new administration hates incest? Or maybe just that particular mod hated incest? Did the rules say anything about it?

Ai-chan knows that back when Ai-chan was there, there was no rule against incest. The owner of the site, Wing, even liked 'Their Last Valentine', the incestuous prequel to Ai-chan's new book The Hounds of Hell in which the incest is quite the main focus. Sure, The Hounds of Hell isn't published in royalroad, but Their Last Valentine is probably still there.

Don't know for sure, Ai-chan forgot the password to log in. Come to think of it, maybe it's time Ai-chan add the prequel here.

Talking about chapters, how many chapters is too much? (I have 96 chapters, with each chapter around 3k words. I dont know if it's too much so I wanted to split one chapter in two mini-chapters of 1,5k words so I could update twice a week)

Yes. Publish 1 chapter per day for 2 days in a row. It will get you to the trending page within maybe 2 days, it takes time for the system to cycle.

There is no such thing as too many chapters, but I wouldn't recommend publishing them in bulk. Space it out a little bit.

If your chapters can be split in two, do it, but try not to interrupt the flow of your writing. Clifhangers are effective, but they're ultimately a handicap
