So, I gave up mostly with scheduling, I decided to create my Series and post them daily until I run out of the small buffer I made, then just write whenever. Has anyone ever done that? I am deciding to focus more on my game dev. I enjoy writing, but I don't have the wherewithal to strategical release or plan anymore while focusing on my main project.

That's why I'd slow down unless you have to do daily for some reason. I had a backlog of almost 30 chapters on one story and have been struggling to get one a month up since my job went from part to full time at the start of this year.

Right, but I just don't care anymore. Im so tired of scheduling and getting the days right and hoping I can get one more reader.

For what exactly? I love my writing, but its far from popular. Hero is closest. I don't want the stress. If people want to read. It will be available as I write it. Otherwise it will just join my other series with sub-100 readers.

I am a game dev and that is my primary focus. The amount of stress I have had the past 6 months compared to the payoff has been.. minimal. There are great readers out there that were amazing. But the grind isnt me.

Whenever writing starts to feel like a chore, or dwindles in importance, it might be best to give it pause, lest it lose its magic forever... plus, everything you wrote in the past would still be there for new readers to discover, and old readers to revisit.
And if people really enjoyed it and want to see the next chapters, most would be willing to wait until then. But I would not worry about keeping schedule... after all, what will be will be, when it comes to readers and feedback. Consistency is no guarantee.
Better to write out of desire than self inflicted responsibility, and take what you will with the results.
