14 out of 17 respondents (currently) agree that character emotions need to be narrated through showing, rather than telling by mentioning raw emotions (sad, anxiety, etc).

Authors can narrate emotions organically (by showing) through body language, psychological reactions (tears, nausea, etc), action, dialogue, and atmosphere in a scene.

The goal is to make the reader experience the emotion with the character.
Time heals all wounds. If you're stilll hurt you haven't waited long enough.

There is a serialized comic
that had a very poignant ending (for its current arc) that kinda marked me.

The girl is crying.
Because she lost a mentor. Someone she liked as much like her mom. (bc orphan and sole of her kin)

People try to recomfort her.

They say that time will heal the pain/wounds.
In tears, sitting while hugging her knees, she reply : It does. It always does......

In insight, it both show how unlucky/sad the (mercenary) FMC that she always have something sad happen to her (classic trope)
but

also, that Time truly work wonders for it, that SHE KNOWS it does,
but most importantly, doesnt truly want the pain/sadness to go away. (in the sense it feels like the feelings for the person disappear too=wish to be forever sad)
They say time heals all wounds, but that's wrong. Time only heals some wounds. Other wounds get bigger as time goes by, and even more are created by the passage of time.
Learning about world history is a whole lot of

"This guy conquered one of the largest swathes of land in history, collapsing civilizations that lasted millennia while forming an empire that would last until his death 7 months later at age 19... while you, dear reader, are a failure who can't even fix a door hinge."
Happy Birthday, MFontana!
Last night, I dreamt that I was an operative for an invasive force, and I raided a military compound. Then, I defeated a swarm of robot assassins alone and bare handed. After that, I cucked Anon and stole his wife. Lastly, I went to a store called "The Duck Pond", and I bought a live duck and named him Mister Quackers.

The darkest stain on the country's history, though a few others come close. The worst part is perhaps that nobody involved has faced any sort of consequences.

Remember seeing someone say somewhere that it's like walking into Germany and seeing that the Nazis won
