Editing. Even if I was good at it, and the fact I'm not makes the process even worse.

My least favorite part of writing? It's actually also my most favorite part of writing as well.

Writing sex scene LMFAO ? To me, it represents the peak emotion where two characters make love in wherever that is appropriate, but dare I say it's the most difficult thing for me to write.

And no, I'm not like those smut authors who choose to describe it way too explicitly.

... a bit of a strange one, but...
Posting the chapters online and making titles for them.
I procrastinate it to the last possible moment. And I have skipped updating because I hated it despite having a healthy backlog.

When the most incredible, evocative sentence that would make Cormac McCarthy come back to life just to commit seppuku out of jealousy appears in your head, only for it to suddenly disappear the second you put the first word on the page.

That bit before I get into flow state when every sentence feels like a monumental effort to come up with. Once in flow state, my fingers can't keep up, but till then it can be a pain in the neck.

I would have said editing once, but I'm coming to terms with it as a chance to enjoy the craft, and a thing to do in small chunks when I don't have the time to get really into writing.

So now it's research. Stopping the flow of writing because I wonder whether a thing is really possible. I want bows to work the way they work in my head, but no, I better look up and find out just how far they can shoot and whether the arrows will penetrate and all that stuff. This includes having to stop to find out whether what I wrote in previous chapters is consistent with what I'm writing now. The best part of writing is getting in a flow state, and everything that stops the flow is annoying.
