So, here is the idea. It has one unbreakable premise(by that I mean that you do not question it for the sake of argument)
1) you know that you will outlive your civilization by a very long time (but you will certainly die one day)
What do you do now?

If I couldn't fully prevent the fall of civilization, then I would simply watch it crumble in the most hedonistic way possible. :blob_melt:

Continue to gather power, build myself a massive castle, achieve mastery over a frankly insane amount of forbidden knowledge, collect all of my civilizations technology and hide it underground in a library.

Basically, I'd build a dungeon castle with myself as the final boss.

Well depending on how long will I outlive, a few dozen factors, and the civilization now means jackshit. It essentially never existed in the grand scheme. Start by making robots to prevent matter disappearing over the edge of observable universe so you do not end up as a fuckwit stranded in the middle of heat death or get ripped apart by expansion. Also obviously spend eternity figuring out how to reverse entropy, crack the laws of universe and become an actual god.

If it is only a factor or two? Well you better get started to figure out how to increase that number by a few factors first.

In the meantime, perhaps form an harem of people who you and they can love for eternity or find someone who you can like for eternity. Depending on how you interpret the given premise, only the civilization fell - aka it doesnt imply extinction of human species in the slightest. So you may or may not need to figure out how to make your harem outlive just as much as you too.

Now spend a lovely decade watching the inevitable fall of civilization with your beloved/harem of beloveds. Assuming you cannot save them too, well revival of them shall fuel your motivation for few factors of time - which will help solve the issue of motivation for the lazy fuck that you are.

if you'd call nature ordered, yeah. basically having clubwielding tribes battle it out in Central Park over which sauce goes best with McNuggets or some shit.

Curl up in a ball in the corner of my bedroom (or whatever is left of my bedroom) and mourn the loss of the internet and anime, aka, one of my only remaining sources of serotonin.

Probably make a church and create a faith around a (fake) deity whose beliefs match mine, then claim that I am blessed by said deity and came here to help humanity on the deity's orders, and have my own "immortality" as proof of my words.

Essentially, I'd try running the biggest charitable organization I could think of.

Not sure if image would show, but I know it deserved to fall. It deserved to fall apart, it is sickly and places the figmental illusionary pleasure (weed, porn, video games, junk food, alcohol, drugs, and stuff of that nature) over the transcendental elements, duty, family, nation, faith.

Yep. To be honest, I wish it would hurry up and collapse. I'm prepped for it far better than anyone I know. I have the gear, the training, and I know how to stash supply caches and the best places for them.

The post said I would only outlive my civilization. But, I'm just going to assume I'll be eternal because why wouldn't I? Eternal meaning I can't be killed by any means including physical, and I also apparently don't age....

Oh...it said very long time not eternal. Well, a few hundred million is a long time so let's go with that. 900 Million years? Sure!!!

I would definitely wander for a while. I mean if everything is collapsed, then there are no longer any major monetary barriers stopping me from leaving now. Gas? Who cares. No need for a car. Money? Lol, just gonna snatch me a meal from this partially fire-bombed gas station. Anyway, after wandering for a while, I would probably spend some time joining various factions that would inevitably form. Since I don't age, and people would definitely notice this after a while, I would limit my membership time anywhere to no more than 30 years before I switched locations and affiliations. I'm pretty sure I could spend a lengthy amount of time doing this and still stay busy.

After this though, I would likely form my own base and faction. I would definitely pick a mountainous or forested area. No urban area, no coastlines, and definitely nowhere that has flat land. Mountainous or heavily forested land that way food and water would be plentiful and I would have an easier time defending my turf. Most likely, I would locate myself somewhere in the Blue Ridge or Appalachian Mountains. The Rockies are dry and mostly arid so they would be a poor choice. The Smokies would probably be a compromise, but the Appalachian or Blue Ridge mountains would be the most fertile.

But if this didn't work out, I guess I would head to Montana and start forming a place around there. Some pretty remote forests in there.
