Would this be weird or boring immersion?

Each chapter is an immersion into a different place...
Like sea, forest, mountains, mist, etc....

It just get you to feel something...like a sense of relaxing or something in that place...

There's no plot, no characters...
Point of view is in 2nd or 1st point of view only.

Probably slice of life?

Might be nice. Depends on what part you focus on. Making it surreal and dream like would be the direction I go because then I don’t have to remember the area around them.

However, if you want to IMMERSE somebody. Real life is the way to go. Just have a setting and describe it slow, showing the reader the beauty of the area they wandered into.

At the very least, this sounds like it would be an excellent writing exercise. Similar to this one idea I had to flesh out the elven language I had created by translating the entire Christian Bible into Elven. It probably won't get many views, followers, or readers, but it will definitely help my writing improve.

I suppose it will be like ASMR but without sound. You better use some good details to evoke those emotions

This can be either "Pretty good ngl" or "Holy fucking shit what was this idiot trying to do"
It all comes down to how you make it and what you aim for with each chapter.

If there's no plot or chapters, it'll most likely be an exploration only, exposing the marvels of the world and wild life or whatever.

It's a great thing to escape from real life too... I'll be checking it out whenever you post it.|

I'd prefer it being 1st person for the heck of it, but that's just my personal preference.

Hey, this seems like the part that I like in creation novels! It becomes better if it's third person like some nature channel narrates it...

So... a documentary?

It would be a very niche genre. But it doesn't have to be boring. Wait... no, it will be boring. Even the mountains can be a character, but you're saying there will be no plot and no characters? What will you be writing? A travel brochure?

Do you mean to make something like this? It was for one of Ai-chan's unfinished Lovecraftian sci-fi Starship Supermall. Ai-chan hasn't posted it because only 2 chapters are complete. And also because Ai-chan is waiting for a writing contest that pays well.

Paradise World of Avis Nin

Purple. That is what one would think of if one were to look at it from space. At first glance, it appears as if the planet consists of 86% landmass, with the largest open body of water located in the southern pole of the planet. In reality, the planet consists of 93% water, with thick vegetation suspended above the water's surface on large roots. While it is considered a shrine world or a tomb world (depending on who you ask) by many spacefaring civilizations of this sector, it is neither monitored nor patrolled. Most races of this sector avoid it mostly due to superstition about the trees eating people. In reality, they were not eaten, but attacked by the native races who have lost the ability to build spaceships to leave the planet.

Geography

At first glance, it appears as if 86% of the planet is made up of a massive supercontinent covered in purple-coloured flora. When you land, you will still think that is the case. It's when you fall through the many holes dotting the land that you realize you're walking on not land, but roots suspended above a sea of water. There is one major landmass with many smaller islands underneath all the roots, unseen unless one were to cut through the undergrowth. If one were to remove all vegetation, one would see that the whole planet is 93% water.

Fauna & Flora

86% of the planet's surface is covered in purple-leafed plants. The entire flora ecosystem of the planet consists of only a few species, each can be traced back to a 'mother tree' somewhere on the planet. While survival of the plants does not depend on the survival of the 'mother', each plant is genetically similar to its 'mother' regardless of where in the world they are found. In some species, they are linked to their 'mother' through a root system that functions similar to a centralized nerve system. The Purple Mangrove as the humans call it is the most common of all the trees found here. Their main roots are long and strong, punching deep through the bottom of the sea to provide a central structure from which all other plants exist. Each tree is suspended above or on the surface of the water by the main root that can be longer and larger than even its own trunk. The Purple Mangrove has numerous aerial roots, always intersecting and intertwining other roots, creating a false land that is thick and strong enough to easily take the landing of a 100 tonne spaceship without any significant bending.

Natural Resources

The planet's primary natural resource is its water, of which 93% of the surface is made out of. It also has an extensive supply of deuterium in its sea. This allows it to resupply starships easily if they have one, but the natives have none. In the millenias that they lost their only spaceship, they were unable to mine through the water and therefore has no source of iron or other minerals that other planets enjoy. The Avisian Ambrosia is the heartwood of an Avisian Cypress. Unlike Earth Cypress, the Avisian Cypress does not shrink and dry out as it grows old. The heartwood softens when exposed to pure hydrogen, allowing it to be cut into slices which can be eaten as a salad. It has the ability to mend wounds and fix broken bones almost instantly. The Avisian Spice is a powder made from the sap of an Avisian Willow. They are freshwater trees that can only be found growing on the continent or on top of Mangroves. When mixed into alcohol, they are called the Fountain of Life, which is highly sought after for its ability to reverse aging and increase cellular regeneration.

No, not like an informative way like that. I don't think it will work really well now that I think about it. There's probably maybe one or two characters talking to narrator, but they're not the main focal point. It was like to pretend your mind is a narrative and you're taking in the sounds and everything and the feels being surrounded or at that landscape. And kinda way relief or feeling relaxed washes over you because you're in that environment.

I guess I wanted try to do ASMR but in reading perhaps. XD

Maybe I got too confident I couls do it. For a recent assignment I wrote a short piece how someone overcomes drowning so I wanted see if I can write a piece where it helps someone to relax.

The idea sounds interesting but probably won't work out real or be very boring. Maybe I'll try it someday.

A whole heck of a lot of poetry is trying to evoke an emotion our sense of place in the reader. So I can't imagine why writing a short story in prose with a similar goal wouldn't work.

Heck The Road by Cormic McCarthy is very much a tonal piece. The focus of the work being invoking feelings of grey desolation in the reader. Which, isn't what you're going for, but uh, yeah.

Anyway, I say go for it!
