They would be thankful for me making the MC which is just a more successful me without as much flaws. And maybe they'd try to help me along in this world.

I can't speak for YOUR characters but mine... well, pretty sure the crew of Between Worlds would have that meeting on the page, and demand some concessions but then keep things as they are.
Kelly (Strange Awakening) would spend a few paragraphs berating me for some of it but then just go out and do what was right, or something close enough to "right."
Jack would beat the crap out of me, then offer to stand me for a couple of rounds of drinks and laugh the whole thing off.

Only fire you? Honestly, a little tongue-lashing is the least of my worries. I've got Judy Windermere from The Late Bird's Tale attempting to break into my bedroom every other day to swanton-bomb me into oblivion, so I've been paying Aaron Rancaster from Days of Blood and Roses to protect me from her. Then there's Janet Fleming and all of her clones from Villainess, Retry! They have been gang-stalking me in my dreams, devising all kinds of ways to scare the crap out of me, while Janet Fleming keeps decapitating me, only for me to wake up screaming in a cold sweat. I've been paying Rancaster double to thwart their collective machinations on me, so from what I can see, you've got it easy!
