sometimes I'll add spaces between lines but it doesnt show on the page/chapter. Does anyone know why ? it looks weird cause this one part isnt spaced but everything else is.
Here's what I mean

How it is in editing mode:

Because, like many other websites, it automatically changes repeated spaces or line breaks into single spaces or line breaks.

There is no way around it; the best option is to add some sort of decorative section break:

as @Piisfun said, it's automatically eliminates double spaces to save on loading times (even a fraction of a second makes a big difference when you load something that many times).

I'd recommend using something else. For instance, *** Is what I use to delineate a scene/pov change. it's not an official mark or anything, but my readers have come to understand what it means.

It only happens on your phone.
Use a desktop.

BTW, if you add one return, save, reload, go back, then add one return, it sometimes works. But it depends on what phone you are using.

No, it happens on all devices. (I usually use a laptop)

It depends on your source file more often. If you are trying to copy and paste from an existing document (sometimes even from SH itself), spacing variance can occur. I think one example is, if from a Google Doc, the spacing between paragraphs is only at most two line breaks in length, while from a Word doc it is 4 line breaks between paragraphs. The inconsistencies I believe come from left over formatting inconsistencies in the original file, like if you have an unexpected indent in one of the blank line spaces (which could be invisible).

If you are not copy/pasting content but working from SH'd direct editor only to generate new lines, I'm not as sure. Maybe try using line breaks instead of normal breaks (use shift+enter, not enter), just to see what happens.
