Why do no hidden genre movies/streams exist

Not gonna lie, that would be such a dope idea, especially for horror movies. In most cases, I don't even get attached to characters, because I know they're gonna die.

Edit: Movie theaters or streaming websites let you blacklist genres you absolutely don’t like, and then give you a random movie that could be anything except the genres you blacklisted.

Imagine the movie gives off a romance vibe in the beginning, but it turns out to be a horror movie

I think you need to switch back to your detective furry self, and investigate this matter.

This town...
Just when I thought I got out,
It tries to pull me back in....

I am like a towel in a laundromat
being wrung by a Calliger...
one too many times.

I ain't got no more to give, friend,
and the next time I go through the wringer....
It's gonna be blood.

Some libraries have DVDs, so you could ask a librarian for a "blind date" with a movie. I've seen a blind date with a book meme going around where the librarians wrap up books in brown paper so you can't see the cover. I think they'll know what you mean if you ask for a blind date with a movie.

You’ll never something like this beyond the level of an indie film.

The same reason this wouldn’t work is the same reason the flat earth conspiracy doesn’t work. The larger an organization the less cohesive and the less secure. People talk, you wouldn’t be able to keep the secret hidden to a meaningful level.

Is the window itself monochrome in colouration or did you get a monochrome filter that the window suddenly changes the reality you see through it. These are the important questions.

*puts on a trilby*

In stories, everything is clean.
Right is right,
wrong is wrong.
...

But this city...
*Turns dramatically, picks up a book*

It's all just shades of grey...

I've seen suspense movies done like this - heck, at least two of Hitchcock's movies did (and then there's Psycho, which starts out looking like a straight-up noir, up until the shower scene). But you need a masterful director to pull it off, a great writer, and a good PR team that knows how to market it correctly or you'll just tick off people instead of building an audience and fan base.

Made in Abyss...
The cover, the trailer I have seen of it, everything gave a lighthearted kids adventure vibe...
