I like the first cover, however it may make the text slightly harder to see. So that I'll go with second cover, but second cover while it looks cute and all doesn't really give much hint of mystery like the first one where you can't see the face fully so it sort of makes you wonder what the story is really like.

I think it may be missing, "an"?

Tales of an Unlikely Wizard.

Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, actually I like the first one sense of mystery. But somehow it performed bad because reasons that I myself don't know. So I tried the second one (which much much simpler), and hope to attract more reader that way :blob_evil:

The title is an artistic choice and definitely not because I forget to check it with Grammarly.

The covers do support the title—unlikely wizard, yet while the chibi looks cute, the font is unjustified and poorly made. Like yeah, the second one is better than the first one, but in any case, on the front page of your story, it is stretched out—making it look a little blurry. The first one is too unorthodox with the way the face isn't shown (I don't know what it's trying to make the readers feel, but is somehow irrelevant if it has nothing to do with the story), while the second one only has width and font issues.

Personally I like the first but if you're going for a more lighthearted comedic approach I would say the 2nd would be more appropriate.
