So I'm writing a story that is heavily inspired by high-school anime (and western teenage works set at schools, and school-set JRPGs/visual novels) and up until now I've had more chapters in this part than there have been days in the school year up til then. I've skipped at most like a day or two at a time.
Now I've got an entire week, Sun-Thurs, which I want to sum up in about 4 paragraphs, and I can't decide whether (A) that's way too fast, but there are threads I need to resolve with basically "this part turned out OK" to prepare for the next arc I'm already well into writing, or (B) that's way too slow, and since it's not a full scene, I should just cut to the next scene and figure out how to work those details into the next bunch of stuff.
Or, I guess I can force something interesting to happen that wasn't planned, but that doesn't feel great, either.
This is one of those times when I realize I'm a thorough amateur at this and am probably abusing the episodic format.
