Hey everyone!
I'm gathering thoughtful recommendations for great reads on Scribble Hub, but here's the catch: you can't recommend your own story. I’ve recently kickstarted a newsletter that recommends indie stories from different platforms. I'm trying to build a small community that connects readers and writers, and I’d like your help. If there’s a story that really stood out to you, then you should definitely recommend it.

A few quick guidelines:
1) The story must be written by someone else
2) You must share why you love it. No “just read it, it’s good” kind of responses. Reflect a little. What made it special?
3) You can either: Comment below with your recommendation and a link. Or (preferably!) fill out this short Google Form so I can stay organized: https://forms.gle/4i6R3SBuAf1Va97V8

Your response might be featured in the next newsletter post (June)! If you're curious, you can check out what this newsletter looks like here.

This was one of the first stories I read on this site, and I am kinda a sucker for romcoms when they don’t have any/very little melodrama. It has been forever since I last read it, nonetheless here you go.

I'll do both.

I've recommended this many times, and I'll continue to do so.
It's my favourite story here.
You must share why you love it.
My favourite topics are lesbians and psychological content. This is both.
I think it manages to use the LitRPG elements to improve the story more than it could without it. The system is an antagonistic force, not just some tool to make it easier to write.
The character development and character growth is lovely and even as more characters get introduced I think it continues to balance the characters and plot great.

That might be enough? I could write more, but I'm doing it on mobile and won't.

Also I want to say it probably is much better than how this recommendation sounds. I am just poor at explaining.

This story is amazing. While it uses an overpowered protagonist, the story puts not her power first. But instead her mind, this story follows a broken woman who carries more power than anything can handle as she travels the world to do good. This is a psychological masterpiece that teaches a broken woman how to love and eventually her making herself a family in this world.
She shifts from monotonously following quests to instead doing as her morals tell her. From supporting someone falsely labelled and punished for evil to learning to come to terms with the opinions of the world and her own identity clashing.
Time starts as meaningless to her, but as she opens up while travelling the world every moment starts to matter for her. Yet this also means it will hurt all the more when she has to use her powers to save those she loves.

This is good! And I just got your recommendation via the form. It's a great recommendation! I'll include it in the June post. I'll also reach out to the writer once I post for June to let them know they've been recommended by a reader.

Thanks for the rec! I totally get the appeal of a good low-drama romcom. :s_smile:
Would you be up for expanding on why this one stuck with you, especially since it’s been a while since you read it? Maybe something about the characters, tone, or moments that really worked for you? I’m trying to include more thoughtful reflections in the newsletter, so a bit more depth would help it stand out!

It has been forever since I read it last, so ?‍♂️. I don’t remember much besides it being one of my favorites on the site that I can remember the name of. Sorry if I am of no help…

No worries at all! I really appreciate you taking the time to share something that stayed with you, even if it’s been a while! If you ever revisit it or another story comes to mind that left an impression, feel free to fill out the form or drop it here. I’m especially looking for reflections that can help others see what makes a story special to you, even in a small way. Thanks again for contributing!

This story was the first one I read on this site and holds a special place in my heart as a 4chan-esque shitpost on therapy for fucked up individuals that could only be found in anime.

Does it have to be a completed novel?

For now, The Grandmaster's Weird Disciple. It's one of the best BL novels on the site. Well paced, never boring until the end, with lovable characters in the best relationship ever. Said relationship itself is the focus, but we get a lotttttt of plot behind the scenes, so that's fun too. I like how it balances complexity with comedy.

The rest of the author's works aren't bad either. Here's the link: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/43422/the-grandmasters-weird-disciple-bl/

Ongoing series are totally fine! Thanks so much for your input. I'll definitely keep this in mind. What I'm doing is just gathering reader recommendations for the "Readers' Reading Corner" section of the newsletter, so it's really helpful to hear what’s stood out to you. If you’ve got more, feel free to share! There’s no limit on how many you can recommend. And if you're curious about the newsletter, you can check out the about section.

So... if I were to pick 50 from my reading list?

I won't have the free time to commit to it this month, but I think I could in the future. (Edit- I forgot. But maybe I'll remember if that newsletter ever does the June post)

When you get the chance that would be great, actually! The form doesn't do multiple submissions at once, so it'd have to be separate. But whenever you can, that'd be great
