What does everyone's notes look like?

Firstly, I'm not asking anyone to reveal anything. As someone who barely even writes notes for his story, I figured I'd start with there. Who knows, maybe it'll ignite a spark inside me and motivate me to continue writing.

Anyway, on to the question. What does everyone's notes contain? Is it a jumble of small plot points you deem worthy to keep for later? Is it a full outline of a chapter, detailing what happens? Or is it a timetable that just has the main idea of the story?

Whenever I try to write notes, my mind just turns blank, so...

My notes a GoogleDoc pages that contain character descriptions and barebones plot outline.I tend to change them based on what I’ve written, and use them just so I don’t forget key details of my story.

likr what powers the characters have and stuff.

Plot points I will use later. Eye color, hair color, tidbits about the characters, about crafted items, about arcs. I write them while I edit the chapter, not when I am writing it.

I have a one note section that I fill with the world building I come up with, including characters and descriptions. It's just a way to be consistent and not need to go back and reread my own work

I usually make a plan of my story before writing it so I can think the plot through and change it where necessary, plus I have a lot of random notes on my phone that are just things to put somewhere in the novel. Sometimes when I feel like it I also make some notes about characters and places to have a reference when I'm writing later and I don't remember the character.

Through my life (however short it was) I learned that there's no point trying to make detailed notes about what's going to happen or what happened, when you can just write 'add shower scene' in the notes and you'll remember everything important when you look at it.

Notes? Uhh... I have a list of my characters and a list of places. Does that count? I don't really keep notes for plot or anything, as it changes too much to bother with writing it down.

The king in yellow vest

Fashion Police

It's a cannon that shoots wolves as projectiles. They were used mostly in the war of 1812 when the US tried to invade Canada, but they fell out of favor after WW 1 with the invention of automatic weapons. Especially when the wolves proved to be ill equipped to handle Poison Gas. Putting a gas mask on a wolf just never really worked so the Dominion Arsenal Company discontinued the Wolf Cannon and switched over production to the Hout-Ross Automatic Rifle. The Hout-Ross is much more practical with it's 25 round over the barrel ammo drum, as well as the fact the ammunition never tries to bite your face off.

However, old wolf cannons still remain in use to this day, as long as they are well maintained. A sign of real craftsmanship and the amount of time and dedication taken to produce each cannon. Back then they were made by hand, you see. You often see them in War reenactments, but due to Federal regulations protecting wolf populations, they almost always use rubber molds that resemble wolves.

So my notes are more like ideas for the novel and explanations of ideas so I don't forget what I originally thought of it. I have a physical book to write notes on as it is faster and biting a pen lets me think. I am starting as a writer so my notes may change to storylines and maybe the character stats as I was thinking of a system that is not a system at the same time. You will get it if I am able to write my novel.
