Just poll question... I just want to pique my curiosity.

I did a similar survey before and the results indicate that they'd rather go for a chapter update release.

I post chapter by chapter. Because I'm a lazy writer with no backlog and way too long arcs to mass-release them.
When reading, there are some novel I am really invested in and read any new chapter the day it is out.

But for most of them, I just let chapters amass and read them in one go, whenever I feel like reading it...

I'll drop books because of repeated mass releases. For context i read like 40 stories on here, 40 on novelupdates and a bunch on RR. So if you drop a ton of chapters I'll feel like i have better uses of my time. I'll start stories with hundreds of chapters no problem but the second 20 chapters are dropped in a day I'm out.

*Numbers of stories i read might be off because I can't be bothered to check.

Someone like me who is an Author as a hobby would not able to mass release writings per week. But giving incentives like receiving hunder readers then release two chapters that week is all I can do.

As a reader, I do not mind as long as the story is to my liking.

Mass releases make me feel like I have to work. Reading and writing are hobbies, so I stop when it starts feeling like working.

I am a really slow reader (I think).
I like to think about what I am reading, to fully understand the intention of the chapter. Combining the reading-time and thinking-time means that I sometimes spend a whole hour on a single page.
The chapters that make me think the most are also the ones I like the most.
So when multiple chapters are released at once, I throw in on a 'to-do-list' and think about other things.

New stories need to be approved first by moderators before other people can see it. Imagine being a moderator and seeing a new story with 20+ chapters published pending for approval. For an unapproved new story, I don't recommend mass releasing chapters unless if you want to torture the mods or something.

If you are posting a new chapter to an already approved story with a reader, try scheduling your release according to your reader's preferences. Communication is the key. Don't ignore your readers. The amount of new chapters per week also depends on the average length of your chapters. If it's shorter than 5000 words, try releasing it as often as you can.
