Ugh crossover. It's unlike crossover cars, crossover stories are rarely made by professional.
Combining stories targeted for children, stories targeted for teenage edgylord, stories for ex-teenage, stories for Young adult, stories for adult in midlife crisis/ delusional salaryman, and stories with extreme complexity for actual warlord, is a bad idea.
One character may look goofy when we know how he act in the story, but how many people remember who they're before the story began ? How would they act when they meet normal people from street ? How do they approach the unknown ?
When encountering a certain a teacher with a cruel attitude and a scary face,
Stories for children made with friendship or villain, either it will be scary monster of old man or the final boss.
Story for teenage edgelord might be cautious against strict teacher with dark abilities, but they might be another antihero.
Story for ex teenage may think of it as the old grumpy gymnastics teacher that was too harsh to his student.
Story for young adult may explore how the old teacher have family and financial problem.
Story for delusional salaryman might include the old man into isekaied world and became good ally or politic noble.
Story with extreme complezity for actual warlord might actually show that the old teacher was an ex member of the political party movement and he join one due to have distant members family in government. Either the old man got demoted by political rival, or some political incident related to the distant family force him to lay low and lose all his family and status.
Such is the difference in character treatment for the stories. When the character treatment of stories with different genres is combined, the narrative kinda broke.
