Why is it that when there’s a Psychological genre, we tend to get hooked easily? I’m starting to notice that it has to be psychological for it to be interesting. We’re starting to like (or appreciate) the weird and strange ones, and we like it when the schizophrenic protagonist is having some delusions. Psychological, psychological, psychological—I’m telling you, it’s the one genre that’ll attract readers immediately, whether they’re edgy or not (focused on people who tend to read weird, depressing, incomprehensible, overly realistically drawn manga).

Yeah. This Psychological genre will dominate the world of writing.

Assuming this is actual psychological genre and not murder hobo type of revenge story or badass psycho assassin or something, it's not going to be popular. And that's fine. Actual psychological genre is just a niche and it will remain to be so.

People get bored easily from normal romance for example as it tend to take the same bath over and over, people also get bored from the norm op protagonist except some cases like the beginning after the end why because character interactions are interesting, but using the psychological can make some really wierd and interesting interactions in its own sense that you won't see in real life, twisted people to the extreme, and the likes of that which gives a felling of excitement. At least that what i think is the reason.

I don't know what you mean. The psychological genre is one of the least popular. Even I shy away from it unless I see something that seriously catches my interest and my story relies heavily on it.

Just because you like the psychological genre doesn't mean everyone does, and not every psychologically tagged book/manga is actually good, but if there's a tag with psychology and its very well liked. Then either the characters have very well written backstories and arcs, the characters are very relatable to other people with trauma, or the mc is a psychopath.
