Thanks! This is kind of what I'm talking about only... for all the categories of words! -)). I tried to go to the site mentioned on those images, but couldn't find where such info-graphics are... where did you find them, and is there more of their kind?

Honestly, those 2 I just randomly stumbled on somewhere. Would have to do a research to find more if there are any. Might do that someday.

I have plenty of those saved. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Just a matter of some browsing around.

I use powerthesaurus.org when I am looking for more variation in my vocabulary :blob_okay:
Since I am not a native speaker as well, and sometimes I fall into the habit of using a particular word too often :sweating_profusely:

This reminds me: There are also some thesaurus ebook compilations on Amazon for certain subjects. E.g. The Urban Setting Thesaurus or Naughty Words for Nice Writers. I can't say anything on the former or the rest of that series since I've only looked at the preview so far but I did buy the latter because I felt that I suck at erotic scenes :blob_sweat: Anyway, while a lot of the words suggested are terms for body parts and stuff, there's quite a few verbs in there as well that could probably be counted as "weirdly-specific".
Maybe you could see if there's one dedicated to a setting or subject you'd be interested in?

I did see, with my own eyes, blistering dragon's breath scorch the cliffside vitrifying the earth into a molten hell.

Do I enjoy vinifying or is it the treat that comes afterword that tempts me?

A villainess is an an expert on vilifying.

I think that makes sense :blob_sweat: Like, there are so many reasons why you might want to do that: Disappointing performance, different expectations, that "emergency" that suddenly requires you to leave ... :blob_hmm_two: Not apologizing would be kinda rude, you know :blob_evil_two:

indeed ^^
I think that people prefer to stay silent and go to sleep without any dialogue about the experience, whether good or bad. It is the first step towards a disaster:blob_no: if that happens more often

Anyways, I eventually ended up buying The Emotion Thesaurus: A Writer's Guide to Character Expression :blob_aww:
It's pretty useful if you want to get more ideas on how to express emotions better, and helped me improve some scenes already :blobtaco::blob_okay:

I am the kind of guy that tends to use the same words/expressions to portray certain emotions, which reduces the diversity between my characters, I think. If everyone reacts the same way to anger, then it gets a bit dull, so I try my best to avoid that :sweating_profusely:
