Webnovel?

So when I was in this feedback section, I read a few people that had said that Webnovel had pirated their novel and put it up on their site.

Is there a way to make sure they don't do this to you? And... more importantly I want to ask how common is that to happen? Is this extremely rare or...common?

I had a story on Royal Road "pirated" for an unauthorized audio version; that is the closest I, personally, have been to experiencing piracy, but I hear it happens occasionally. Not frequently, but there are a lot of aggregator sites that routinely try to scrub stories from places like this. I have not heard that Webnovel does this, exactly (they have shadier but more technically legal tricks up their sleeve).

Thanks for the reply Charles. And nice to hear from you again. (seems like you are saying it does happen. I think you are the 4th or 5th person I've run into that's had it happen to them. And I don't talk to that many people that often.)

Piracy does happen. It is common enough to be a worry, but not all THAT common. There are threads in General and Author General about some tricks for locating it... Don't have any links saved or would share some.
