Was it obvious enough that the villain's plan would never work?

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great. I have two questions. I am rewriting one of my works and I would like to ask something. My idea for the story was to play around with the theme that the MC has a reason to want revenge, and she has been training herself, trying to get as high as possible in the ranks so that one day she can come back and deal with the person who wronged her. But the twist is that the justice system worked, the bad guy's plan was uncovered, and he was dealt with, and this is the reality that the MC will have to process, for in her mind she made him into a person larger than life, and his actions influenced how she tried to resist ending up like him in terms of personality.

Is it clear enough that the baddie is in way over his head with his scheme and thinks he is smarter than he is?

And the second question, have I made it clear enough that Academician is writing off the bad guy, obviously aware what will happen?
