I like it. It has a slightly theatrical feel, which I'm not sure was intentional. There are few descriptions of the surrounding spaces, and even when there are, they're very sparse. It's a shame, but I understand the approach you took.
It's a quick read; I didn't even notice when I reached the end.
I hope to learn more about the main character.

It is my very first writing a d my very first novel.

About the slightly theatrical tone—yes, that was intentional. I wanted to explore a more expressive, introspective style to let the emotions and inner thoughts flow more freely in this part. The first chapter is more of a reflective glimpse into our MC’s past, so it carries that layered tone purposefully.

As for the sparse descriptions, that’s a great observation. I chose to keep the surroundings subtle early on so that the focus remains on the character’s mindset—but as the story progresses, the worldbuilding and atmosphere will start to deepen and unfold with the narrative.
