Personally I don’t like anyone from that show. I’m on episode 15 and the story is finally starting to pick up. The first half of the show is dreadful but now it’s getting good.

The problem is that Steins;gate wouldn't be that good if it weren't for those slow slice of life bits as prices start to add up. Just give it time. I'm sorry that you find that dreadful but it is considered a blessing by many of the fans compared to the depression that comes later.

the reason the first 12 episodes were dreadful for me was simply because a lot of the parts didn’t feel like it took place in the shows reality. The thing about world line, the characters actions etc.

It’s kind of like the crap with persona 4 and 5’s stories where they go to some meta verse, only difference is you see real world actions. With this show, the MC doesn’t feel like a reliable narrator at the beginning, it’s only when shit starts happening that I can confirm, oh yeah this is real and not some weird matrix shit.

There are too many anime that make metaphysical elements in them that make everything overly complicated. I felt like they could have cut the first twelve episodes down in length and it would
