Writing Vampires rule the world now

A world where vampires/night demons/blood demons started to pop up in the overlord due to [reasons]
After a couple centuries of war between the humans and vampires the vamps accidentally wipe out humans (it's more of half by accident and half by humans own hands).
So now the vamps have to make due with animals and unconventional methods of making blood to satisfy themself with.
I wonder how a story will unfold with this premise of vampires being the now dominant species of the world.
Also there are a multitude of other races that look different like some being wolf like but still considered vamps cause of having bat wings and need to drink blood to survive.


For me like all things I will focus on mercs in this world trying to survive, while everyone in power is too busy trying to find a way to make it all burn due to greed.

Just clone the food. Sure there's some human DNA lying around(Einstein's brain, Bob Marley's toe, Mother Theresa's moustache).

Richest vamps own the subterra cloning farms, and rule via webs of intrigue and influence by sating bloodlust on a commercial scale(maybe even canning blood and calling it Crimson Cola or some such{Fanta Vitae}).

Otherwise, if you really want to hardlock humans out of it, I guess the vamps will be farming chimps and pigs instead. Maybe also succ from elegant creatures such as cranes, orcas, leopards and pugs for 'aesthetic.'

Well that'll be a nice story except all the humans are already dead. I was more focused on how the vamps will progress now that the humans are no more.
