Use of Main Genre

When we create a story, we're asked to choose a main genre, but then that doesn't seem to be used or publicly displayed anywhere. Making public use of it would make finding desired stories so much easier.

As an example, if I want to read an actual Romance story with a main focus on the romance, that's difficult to find because if I go to the Romance page, I'm presented with every story using Romance as a subgenre, even if it may be only a subplot.

What would be ideal would be a way of searching stories by main genre, perhaps as an option in the series finder. Or if the main genre could be placed first or highlighted in a story's list of genres. Even just having the main genre displayed on a story's detail page would be helpful.

Friendly reminder that the tag "Romantic Subplot" exists and you should probably use that if your novel is not focused on the romance, but has some romance in it anyways.

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but I just figured I'd mention it.

I find it is helpful to remove genres that tend to act like that, I.E. Action, Harem, & Adventure. Although this isn’t perfect and you will probably be removing stories that fit into your requirements, but it can help a little bit.
