I've kept the hype for this on the down-low, on account that the chapter release schedule is proceeding quite slowly. Even though there will be one new chapter per week (Mondays), (with occasional exceptions of more than one per week), I am still proud to present the launch of a new Web-Novel:

Mastering Metrics in Another World

> The story starts with the MC having no memory of their past or where they are, and from his injuries, signs point to some kind of betrayal. Before he can make sense of the world around him, information and help is the only power he has, or so it would seem...

Notice (What to expect) for the first of this series:

MMIAW is designed to closely follow this one reincarnation, with both internal and external thoughts, of existentialism and detail. I, the author, utilize a writing style that blankets the inner thoughts of the character (1st person) through their experiences, as a medium of their own characterization.

Action: There is plenty of it, though it is quite dispersed and limited in frequency. I would not call this an action-packed thriller by any means.

Growth: The main character in particular, only begins as a blank slate from very temporary amnesia, and over time, much to the pressure of returning to his sister, tries to adapt in the world he's found himself in, utilizing the scan system in a myriad of ways. The MC, does explain the system at length, only based on what he knows and what he learns over time. But this also lifts one curtain after another on the difficulties he instinctual senses ahead, forcing him to realize that the mentality of treating this world like a mere game while ignoring his emotions, isn't going to cut it.

Psychological: Perhaps a main genre of the narrative. As Riekko learns more every day, the doors to more philosophical questions are opened, and not all of them have a black and white answer. The mentioned writing style, in how some questions are better asked quietly, allow for the safer exploration of these breaks.

While this writing style is, as it sounds, a writing style, I sometimes, have the tendency to get just a bit carried away, which could lead to "blocky paragraphs." I avoid this as much as I can through my own mindfulness of it. The advantage is, the total absence and avoidance of passive-action or transition, which I, (as a reader) personally detest.

Why am I making this mini-post?

Never thought I would have to, but it feels more necessary now, after getting a review at RR that I have at least partial disagreement to.

Maybe this was only because of mismatched expectations. As for how I felt about it, seemed more like an attack against the writing style rather than the flux of the narrative; bit of an unfair avenue. But then, it is also one opinion in the sea of others, my own included. The amount of times I have come across works for things to read, 90% of my searches either lead to actual AI slop, or human generated passiveness. If I had to define my own style compactly, it would be the opposite of such, which ~ can be applied overzealously, creating over-detail when done without restraint.
And yes, Part 1 does have a 'slow-burn' feel compared to its parts 2-5.

Even so, I feel MMIAW is a cut above the rest, and also is by no means a world-wide masterpiece. Through it all, I made this project fully inspired to test and further raise those limits, and I have no intent to stop that.

Prefaced with all of this knowledge, hopefully, misunderstandings can be avoided.
I invite constructive feedback ~ seriously. If it benefits the author to know, and is based on observed fact, rather than observed opinion, I'll all for the self-improvement.

As Riekko continues to master the modified Scan system he remapped to his brain, the perks have helped unlock additional information. As for Arsenal Codex, Sema has agreed to take on a dangerous job, with the Town of Le' Andri in peril.
