Mecha is overrated as most of them follow the same structure. Code Geass is not included in this.

Yeah, that's the thing. A lot of people online (the quite verbose ones) act as if it's a mortal sin or an immediate strike against a show. But there are times a show was intended to be one, and that's exactly the point.

That's where the "just not for you" line comes in for me, and it would be better if those guys just leave those revenge plots or harems alone instead of ranting about them and fanning the flames and inciting those "anime is dead" threads/videos when product's not for them to consume anyway.

The thingis that they're selling a product, so it's in the consumer's power to criticize said product.
If you sell me a story about a grooming pdphle then expect the story to get shit on for what it is instead of defending it with "if you can't handle rudeus you shouldn't watch". Like... That's not how any of this works. A 40 yo man should not, in any circumstance, do that shit. Your stance allows for the festering of defending shit that shouldn't be allowed to happen. Money and entertainment for the sake of it is neither ethical nor moral.

So, no. Clowning on shows is a netizen's duty. Whether blind fans like it or not.

I know it is fact, and it is sad that it is true. Bundy was a primary example of how attractiveness downplayed his sins and how he garnered attention and fans.

I'm sick of Romcom. It sucks , I don't like how things would get complicated and dramatic. Also, there should be an end for isekai harems, I'm sick of it too, can't the hero just end with one and also those plentiful of reincarnated as a villainess or I'll live my life as I please on this second chance - Shouldn't reincarnator fix his mistakes and do for the better and improve her lifestyle. I'm no good to stupid harem routes and those unexpectedly fall in love. Tho...

In the end of the day, *hugs pillow* I still have no choice and watches these shows.

Isekai ≠ Trash

How can Isekai be trash, when the genre has given us works like Shield Hero and Mushoku Tensei?
I don't believe that a genre can ever be trash, it is just the execution that matters. There is also the fact that these complaints normally come from people who are not into isekai genre.

Probably "unpopular" by American standards, but
Ghost Stories dub is unfunny and it's not a "ZOMG SO FUNNEH BEST THING EVAR ecksdee"
on the flipside, the original Gakkou Kaidan, while not a masterpiece by any stretch, is not bad and not a "LITERAL 1/10 TRASH HURRR"
sad that the Western (American?) anime fandom would rather believe that the original "tanked badly they gave us freedom to dub it guyz!!!" (it's not; pretty sure it's just because it's too folklore-y)

people apply real-world morals into anime; or media in general, and use it as an objective quantifier on whether it's good or bad. that's not the problem. the problem arises when someone uses their real-world morals to judge an anime and as an extension, the audience of said anime. you enjoy Redo of Healer? No Shounen should run longer than 50 episodes. Nay, no anime should run longer than 50 episodes. That's enough for 2-4 seasons.
