Hello everyone! This is my first post, and I hope you will not judge me too harshly? I hope I have not chosen the wrong section for the topic? It may seem funny to you, but I have poor English skills and dyslexia, so please do not be offended if there are mistakes. I think a lot about the underwater world. What is your attitude toward the underwater world? Do you agree that the underwater world is a rare genre? Sometimes I feel that ideas about the underwater world are underestimated. I would like to discuss underwater worlds here. Which underwater worlds do you know, and which ones do you like? I am particularly inspired by coral reefs. I also like underwater lava. What do you like?

To be honest, I always thought that Underwater worlds had too many limitations when it comes to characters, seeing as the characters would need to either wear special suits, or be some sort of aquatic hybrid, not to mention locations, wherever you go, you will always be underwater.

But that's just from my experience...

Would like to know more but I have little knowledge to share.
I always thought underworld living beings are si fascinating yet scary haha. Once had a dream where I lived underwater in a house made of glass. I could see sharks and octopi roaming around. It's still one of my favourite dreams.

I find it fascinating. I remember a series called Pendragon: Journal of an Adventure through Time and Space (look it up on Wikipedia, pretty long title) that had an underwater world called Cloral in the second book (The Lost City of Faar). Been a while since I last read it (I think it was in middle school actually), but definitely worth the read.

The fact is that 80% of our world is water and it is very beautiful underwater.

I like how Arctic water looks under the thick sheets of ice. I makes for a beautiful blues above and a scary dark bellow. Reminds me of that moon that's supposedly got a ocean under its ice.

That or kelp forests, so much life above and below the water. I guess as a part of this but also something else is that trail that floods every now and then.

I've encountered underwater as a dramatic element added to adventure/drama numerous times. "Raise: the Titanic!" - Clive Cussler. "The Deep - Peter Benchley", etc etc.
Now then though, Piers Anthony did a *weird* fantasy where people are bicycling cross the Atlantic seafloor to test new tech. That was all underwater, and very imaginative.

No, I meant this thread, the one we are talking in right now. There is a person who needs your expertise; go look at the original post.
Oh. Right. Okay.

I do love the underwater world, but more for things that I really cannot talk about in public, and in a SFW environment. 😁 My writing reflects that though;I do consider myself an aquaphile.
