In art, it isn't all about dessins or oil paintings. Many industrious artists often have compositions consisting of installations, cutting, or food paintings. Most turned into a piece of art, however, something can only be a piece of art once you start giving up on it. Nevertheless, art has a limited yet broad variety of approaches like writing. The difference is stark, but like focusing on the focal point of art—your focus is the words in your story.

This isn't all about point of view nor the margins applied when writing. This is about how you write and what you combine with it to furthermore better your own writing. Whether applying further nuance or punctuation marks to add more depth to your story or completely making use of descriptive writing styles to immerse readers.

Styles of writing isn't just the four or five types, it could be anything. I would like to hear about your style of writing as I am tackling it this month!

That's rather gratifying. I've started giving up on my writing now that I'm a mom.

My writing style is very heavily influenced by Rick Riordan. I find that he's a solid model for me to follow along without being dragged down by flowery prose. Most of his description follows along simple and humorous comparisons that a teenager could make, which makes sense given his most popular series are focused around the young adult genre. It's a writing style that's meant for a pleasure read for entertainment, rather than something that's deeply analyzed. There's also comedic light novels like Konosuba that I find fall into how I try to write.

But often we're picking up more than just what we read and write. Writing styles come from all sorts of places, including our conversations with other people, our preferences for characters, and our own views. Good writing is subjective, but I think every writer should have some level of fundamentals and influences to write in the best possible way for their writing style, so even if you may be skilled at one thing, you have to be still capable of the basics to make your shining points in your story... well, shine.

I'm already a great mom. One of my boyfriends is half black, but he's not vaccinated yet, so my husband and I are staying away from him for now. My other boyfriend is vaccinated, but since we've seen the Delta variant is infecting more kids, and our baby can't get vaccinated yet, and vaccinated people can still be carriers, we're not hanging out with him, either until we get our baby fully vaccinated.

I do a lot of writing outside of leisure writing, that is I write a lot reports, most of which it doesn't matter how I say something, instead the intention is what I'm saying. This has kind of leaked into my writing style when it comes to fiction, and I notice that some of my chapters read almost like a textbook, where events might be described but with a very dispassionate or passive voice. Honestly, I'm not sure how it exactly reads, whether its an interesting/unique spin or just straight boring, but I've decided to lean into it.

Were you a couple trying to date the same person? A lot of poly people try that, but I've found that dating separately is simpler and less stress. My husband actually doesn't date other people. He's welcome to if he wants to, but he's too busy playing video games to meet new people. He's interested in women and I'm not, so I don't even try to find people for him. I did some experimentation with women when I was with my ex-boyfriend (2008-2014) but I was always just putting on a show and never actually into it. If my husband ever found a woman who wanted a threesome, I'd do it for his birthday or something, but not as a regular thing.
