Hi, Has anyone successfully put an image from Canva into a story? I can make a link in Canva, but when I insert it i only see an image box, not the image itself.

From a cursory glance at public examples, they have an internal image link.
How does yours look like?

while you're in Canva, Export the image as .jpg, then upload the .jpg on scribble hub.
That only works for the cover, but I guess OP wants to insert it in a chapter. Copying and pasting an image from an image hoster into a chapter also works. SH will automatically read the image link.

See that's where I'm having the problem. I copy the link from Canva, no problem. But when I insert it into the chapter using the dialog box provided, I just get a "box" placeholder. I never see the image. It is as if SH is not reading the image link.

The link itself could be correct, but canva doesn't seem to be an image hoster. If canva saves your images under your account and it's only accessible when logged in, then SH can't read it.

You have to upload it to a public image hoster like imgur or discord.

Canva is not an image hosting site. Don't bother linking an image straight from canva. Download the image, get an account at a free hosting site and upload it there, then hotlink from the hosting site.

I upload image from canva after downloading it to my laptop first. After I upload it as my novel's cover, I automatically got the image link whenever I need it.

Hope this helps ?

(Edit: I got the image link from right clicking my cover image and select 'copy image link' ?)

Canva is shit, but I managed. My Everlasting Mage was edited from Canva. I didn't come back there since then. Now, I am only editing my book covers in PowerPoint. I don't know how to photoshop, but ppt is pretty much user-friendly.

PS. I used an android phone and the app, and it's laggy as hell. I even tried different devices for it.

Hi, I got the images to load to the computer using google drive as my image hosting site. So the procedure is:

1) Create images in Canva
2) Store on Google Drive
3) Get link on Google Drive (rt click on the image then click to allow everyone to see the image)
4) Modify the link to make it a direct link (ie. replace file/d/<image id>/view?usp=sharing with uc?export=view&id=<imageid>)
5) Insert link into SH.

Now, here's the next problem. Everything worked fine for the Prologue. But for Chapter 1 I can only see the images on my computer, not on my phone. On the phone I get blank white space.

Does anyone know what is happening? Please try viewing Chapter 1 of The Death of Magic.

Thanks

Google drive is not an image hoster. Just upload it to Imgur.

but i can see the images in the prologue on my phone. So why doesn't work for the first chapter as well?
How should I know? The point is that Google Drive is not an image hoster for linking purposes like imgur.

Nice that it works on your phone, but if your readers can't see it then it's obviously not a good solution.

I've uploaded to discord, deviantart, imgur, etc. They all work and it's only a matter of seconds to do so. I do not see the difference between uploading to drive and using up storage when other websites work even better.
