First off, feel free to use this for your own stuff and splice it however you want. Now off to my confusing rambling (I know in advance I won't make sense).

I got an idea after watching Time Cop right after reading a villainess story. Barebones idea is this (main story is in 3rd timeline):

OG timeline: Typical heroine with harem potential and a villainess. Yadda yadda, heroine gets concrete slabs with dicks and villainess gets cast out of kingdom. The catch is the afterstory. She is a bit fucked up in the head (not really. I'll get to that later.) so, she delves into necromancy. Not relevant until the absolute end of this timeline. That is, she uses soul bullshit to regress as she was actively being burned at the stake by her own father.

2nd timeline: As a supreme necromancer, she fucks things up into her favor. She goes fire and brimstone and, in the end, and story start, she only has to kill the MC of the story. The last surviving member of the royal family. That's right! Not the heroine! Shocking! Mostly because I want to avoid deus ex machina with fates n shit.

Story start is Villainess chasing the MC in an abandoned/destroyed (either, or. as long as she is alone and helpless). The Villainess is enjoying knowing she will kill the last of her rivals. Her need for the densest of dicks and jealousy of Ms. Perfect ignored, she is in it for revenge and being the next ruling monarch. Using her undead army as the backbone of her kingdom.

She succeeds in killing the MC. Cue a god saying it's unfortunate and unfair. She gets popped back into time. God can't send her back further than 2 years after the Villainess regressed herself (thinking making her young to use subversion-by-age, so, maybe 12 years old) because the soul transfer tainted the world (go nuts with implications. Haven't brainstormed this part yet).

3rd timeline: Main story setting. Villainess knows of what happens. Now the MC knows but is against 2 years of preparations done by Villainess. A few or some events get thwarted. MC tries to warn her family and they brush her off. Bad things happen. But the Villainess notices during a debut of hers (15 years old). Know she knows that the MC knows. Shenanigans happen like saving family members and heroine/harem, fronts against civil war are set-up, they both get more bold and people start to notice.

The current working end has to do with their background that I'll post after this paragraph. They are both in the wrong and in the right as they stare down each other in a non-ending. The country is divided into both of their factions with people having legitimate reasons to be with the psycho bitch. That being that she is a really good leader and genuinely cares for her people. Showing it through action. She might be a bit fucked in the head but she was the best and original candidate for the harem after all. MC has turned from the preppy king's daughter to a hardened leader that had done what she could without initial support. But the backing for her is corrupt.

Background for setting itself:

Villainess-
She was trained to be perfect and was. Do to romance novel bullshit she got shafted and exiled. The catch is that she didn't deserve it. It was a plot to use her as the downfall of the only threat to the royal families authority. Until the middle of the OG timeline, she was the picture of perfection. Then the rumors and harrassment started. Once she was exiled she had no one. As an only child she only had her father (mother deceased) and they had turned him against her. She gets desperate and figures that she can become immortal to have all the time in the world to get her revenge. But, figures out how to regress instead. Her thinking is that she can become even more useful to keep her father from turning against her and now that she knows of the plot against them, destroy the royal family.

During the second timeline she would capture one-by-one the harem members, royal family, and heroine to execute them. Either by accident or comically evil ways like hanging them above a vat of acid. She gets away with it because of the two years prep that she had. Having allies everywhere by giving them snippets of future prospects and a solid plan to overthrow the monarchs. Also, dark magic bullshittery.

She no longer cares about winning the hearts of the male leads with how they distanced themselves originally (paranoia). Even if they themselves were used more like puppets. The heroine for her is a non-threat as she was a typical commoner and only a tool.

She fits her role as a benevolent ruler because of her attachment issues she had developed in the aftermath of the OG timeline. Her people are hers and no one's else. No one deserves to be treated like scum so she makes their lives as close to perfect as she can. Extreme punishments for dissidents as it reminds her of how everyone betrayed her.

MC-
Was one of or the only daughter of the king and queen. She was an airhead and loved being rich. Didn't work a day in her life which is why no one gives her a second glance when she tries to warn everyone. She was not made aware of the plans to remove the Villainess from power and cut-out the threat to their rule. She has no knowledge of the OG timeline beside little snippets when the Villainess was going "evil villain speech" at times. She was of course, confused and thought them to be ravings of a madman. Has no true idea as to why her family was being killed off.

Gets a dose of being isolated because no one sees her as ever done anything productive. She is a klutz. For not having done anything but fraternize she has no political backing or skills to call upon. She does try to learn how to fight but only gets to middling levels (not enough time to practice).

Story bits:

MC finds out of the plan when she confronts her father and mother (they both cunts). They tell her that it is for the greater good and needs to be done. Even if they are shocked that the MC somehow figured out the plan, they ignore her pleads to not go with it. She tries to make things right but the Villainess could not give a shit. She initially tries to save people and succeeds only because the Villainess does not expect her plans to be thwarted. Then just about nothing goes her way. The most she ends up doing around the middle of the story is stall and divert wins/losses.

The kingdom is corrupt. Most nobles have their hands in dirty dealings. The crown itself controls the drug trade. The excuse that they can't stop it is that it affects a third of the population and they can't afford to cripple the kingdom in withdrawals. The methods they had used were at the same level as to what they were going to use on the Villainess. Illegal confiscations and false accusations. Kill everyone around the subject to pressure an outcome.

MC is seen as prophetical as she does remember the major battles (bit hard not to notice) during the civil war in the 2nd timeline. The only backing she can get is through the already established powers in the kingdom.

MC lets her kill her father after the vat of acid scenario after a sherlock holmes level of chase. He made all of this happen and even the MC can't forgive him.

Battlegrounds were not only about strategical importance. Some were dictated because of the Necromancy requirements. Can go either/or for the MC or Villainess.
No spoilers for you.

When I was reading the second paragraph and got a glimpse of other paragraphs, I gave up. Please simplify it. Or start removing the harem part and go for the skeletal part of the story.
