Are you getting paid?
Do they want to use your name?
Do they have the right to edit your work without talking to you?

I do ghost work. I make sure i get paid. I also make sure it is clear, hou want my name, I have complete control over the project. You want editorial control, get some other idiot to put his name on it.

THERE IS NO HEALING SPELL FOR YOUR REPUTATION.

If you are just pumping out content and they pay by the word, do it. But if they are going to alter it, don't let them use your name. I have written good stuff only to find the editor "fix" it. Often people perfer what I wrote, but that doesnt stop these idiots thinking they know better.

God help you if your employer is woke. I actually was given a list of races and genders I needed to use once.

Once.

And I'd like to point out that there were more than 2 genders on that list.

I wrote it. I got my money. I never took another job from those morons again.

These days I stick to working for old friends, however. I make 50 an hour in overtime. I can spend days working on a story for the same amount I make with 12 hours of OT. Not bragging. Just pointing out that your time is valuable, so don't waste it. There was a time I thought 6 cents a word was the bomb. Not anymore.

i mean whats the site that offered you a contract? or the company?
It is a company but they have a website. I decided to turn down the contract in the end so I don't think it will be a problem if I say which one. It was Ritoria.

NOTE: I am currently looking into the process of starting my own publishing firm so that I publish as a business in the future.
That's cool.

On the publishing thing, are they asking for any money from you?
