So there's a meme that Batman can defeat everyone with enough prep time.
Though I wonder if there's a story, which the MC gets a strong buff based on their prep. For example, if the MC wants to explore a dungeon, when they prepared the recovery items and researching dungeons, they will get a boost to the recovery capability, and able to have a minimap of the dungeon itself. Or when they were preparing to deal with assassination attempts, they will get an 'alert' buff that will make them do automatic actions and incapacitate their assailant for a good while.
I find it quite enjoyable when the MC always or mostly knows what's ahead and can stomp enemies through foresight, instead of just brutal power, but gets tricked or caught off guard every single time (though they still win).
