One of these days, I will watch it. I mean, I've watched pretty much all the vampire anime I can get access to. Even "Dance in the Vampire Bund" which... yeah...
It's not a tv series, but a movie. All you need it two hours.

You’re definitively a chuuni.

Our taste in anime couldn’t be any different haha. I haven’t see the my hero or blue lock yet, but your #2 and #5 to me are ones I hated so much haha.

Always interesting to find people enjoying what I hated.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But Darling in the Franxx I can understand but why Violet, it seems incomprehensible

Violet is because I really hate the “traumatized heroine who needs to learn love or be normal” trope. To me it feels like the producers are just trying to manipulate my feelings just so I’d be like “oh so sad.”

While the ending isn’t bad, the whole journey to me makes me sick.

After Air TV made me cry, I started hating most of these tropes. Although that ending did piss me off.

I agree. And I feel like I will incur wrath of a lot more people, since I think the same way about a couple of fan favorites.

Is Demon Slayer one of them? Lol.

Well the difference in Demon Slayer for me was that despite the trauma, the protagonist pushes forward. In general, I guess stories where the MC’s force themselves forward no matter what are my preferred stories.

But I hate sad anime. I’ve witnessed tragic shit in real life, people dying, coming back from war, etc. and none of them are as dramatized as what “sad anime” does.

I did not watch nor read Demon Slays. I'm talking about certain tearjerkers. But I won't tell you what it is. :blob_uwu: I don't want to get lynched.

You mean something like your lie in April.
It's a story about a genius pianist who can't hear the sounds of what he's playing because he associates the music to his abusive mother who forced a lot on him growing up.
Actually she knew he was good at playing the piano and she was dying from an illness (think it was cancer) so she really only wanted her kid to be equipped with the skills to provide a good life for himself at least when she's gone.

It's been a while since I watched it but it got me into listening to classical music so it was good I guess ?

I will reply and say I won't answer. I will not help you narrow it down.

Yes, I hate your lie in April.

I hate stories where the main character is their own worst enemy.

Wait, did you mention your top 5?
All of these I enjoy rewatching. I don't have much explanation for them, I just like them the most.

1: Trigun
Love the duel of philosophies in the later half, early half is still a good watch.

2: Avatar the Last Airbender
Western Anime, Overall just a great show that ended very well done.

3: Overlord
A guilty pleasure, enjoy the style and the idea of it happening to me as a dragon.

4: Violet Evergarden
So wholesome, very emotional.

5: One Punch Man
Fun, good parody of superhero genre.
Yeah
