I’m wondering if my story is moving too quickly. I've written introductions for each main character (essentially prologues), and in Chapter 1, they all have a pivotal moment—a realization that they want more out of life. But now I’m unsure how to keep the pacing balanced. Do readers typically enjoy a fast-paced book, or should I slow things down to develop the story more gradually?
Any thoughts on whether I should keep the fast pace or add in some slower moments?
