I’m wondering if my story is moving too quickly. I've written introductions for each main character (essentially prologues), and in Chapter 1, they all have a pivotal moment—a realization that they want more out of life. But now I’m unsure how to keep the pacing balanced. Do readers typically enjoy a fast-paced book, or should I slow things down to develop the story more gradually?

Any thoughts on whether I should keep the fast pace or add in some slower moments?

It varies so widely I'd say proceed as you are, and if you get comments that you need to slow it down. go back and do so.
