The only thing I know about it is that the stadium was built on slave labor and fifa is corrupt as all hell.

But it's still a popular sport, so I hope you get some good enjoyment out of it. The players aren't part of that and they worked hard.

But this place is full of giant fucking nerds, so don't expect too many sports fans around.

This edition is utterly rotten.
Organized in a country full of discriminations by a corrupt federation that was birbed to change the timeline of the format in order to be able to play in a desert, which messed up an already bad scheduling.
Oh, and the stadiums are built with the blood of slavery.

Truly an inspiring event.
England WC champions. We got cucked at the euros but this time its coming home
Oh, and also it has come Rome baby.

Haven't really thought about since there's some time still. I'm probably supporting Germany as usual, England as a second pick for once.

What's a world cup? Is it like a giant cup the world can fit in?

Or is it a metaphor for something to do with football? I thought football wasn't popular outside the United States. Don't they prefer soccer? Someone else mentioned soccer but Football and soccer are not the same sport!

Also... I thought we were giving reparations for slavery already.

Despite being from LatAm, I have never cared about soccer. I do enjoy the memes and shitposts the WC generates, tho.

In my family, we are huge fans Of that sport. It is a little saddening the controversial situation where it happens, but I will still enjoy it, hoping that my country will reach far in the competition.

As long as it won't end up like what had happened in indonesia a few days ago, then I will watch it, I think

You are joking right?

Football=Soccer to the rest of the world.
From what I can understand, only Americans truly use the word soccer for some reason. The way I see it, what Americans call 'football' is basically rugby with helmets.

I am not sure there will not be any reparations for slavery because I believe the Qatari government will deny any accusation of using slave labor during the construction of the stadiums for the tournament. It is sad but true.
