The Elarian Chronicles (Volume 1 of 5) Discussion Thread

For those who may be interested, or those who are already reading it, Chapter 1.2 for Duskfall (The Elarian Chronicles - Volume 1) just dropped and brings the total chapter length up to 9,051 words (divided into two parts for easier reading).
The legend begins, as does the journey.
I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts and feedback on the chapter. Any comments, critiques, or feedback are welcome.

Chapter 2.2 (releasing later this month) will feature the battle with the Orks, the aftermath, and the next couple of character introductions, so be on the lookout for that release as well.
