Okay so you had your isekai journey and stuff, blah, blah, blah. Nothing interesting here.
During the climax of the story, you killed the Demon Lord and saved the world.
Originally, you thought it was a happily ever after, and you got married to your waifu/husbando. You had a baby, and initially your life was wonderful and happy in every way that you could possibly want it.
However, on your baby's first birthday, an oracle comes to you and says that in truth the Demon Lord reincarnated as your baby.
Currently, your child/Demon Lord has not yet regained their memories, but as they grow up, they will slowly recover more memories (and powers) of their past lives. In this universe, the Demon Lord is a single soul that is endlessly reincarnated, so they have about 500,000 years of memories that will obviously dwarf any amount of new memories that you form with them as your child. The Demon Lord is filled with a lot of hatred, and basically your child will grow up more and more like the previous Demon Lord that you knew with each passing year. The oracle tells you that in all of history, there has never been a single instance when the Demon Lord did not go on a mass-murdering rampage threatening the well-being of the entire world. Consequently, the oracles tells you to assume that the Demon Lord will absolutely be evil once their memories are recovered.
The oracle predicts by age 18, your child will have recovered all of the Demon Lord's memories.
Currently, your child (age 1), is a sweet little baby who is adorable and lovable.
What do you do?
1. What kind of parenting strategy would you take?
2. How would you feel if you see your child getting progressively more evil as they enter their teenage years? Suppose that they started torturing cats in your backyard shed. Is there a limit for something that you wouldn't be able to tolerate?
3. Suppose that the rumor gets out that your child is the reincarnated Demon Lord. Everyone the village now harasses, bullies, and mistreats your child. Would you defend your child? What if the accusations are true? (i.e. "Your child is twisted and sick for torturing screaming cats at night)
4. Suppose that you talk to your child and they say that they are "in pain" and "suffering". How do you react?
5. Suppose that your child accidentally kills your spouse in a fit of anger. How would you react?
6. How do you see you and your child's future?
