I am biased in CN because I mainline it and what made me want to write this post is because of that.

So the antagonists know about MC acceerated growth. All the old fuckers who can't grow for shit decides to hunt MC down like a dog to steal his secret.

Of course, different authors different styles.

The first would be to accelerate MC growth even further, so much so that no one could ever catch MC off guard or even dead.

Second would be the standard MC hides himself and this always lead to something more interesting.

MC either hides his loved ones as well and it becomes a cat and mouse game where the antags are hunting them all.

Or MC could only hide himself, resulting all his loved ones tortured and killed by the antags, even fashioning their dead bodies and tormented souls as weapons against MC when he returns for vengeance. I had seen this only twice and it was both satisfying and heartbroken at the same time.

The last type is MC hides himself and his loved ones humiliated/ abused but still alive and MC came back for faceslapping. Ngl, this is instant gratification and less gut wrenching.

Then there is the mandatory "thrashing MC house" when he's gone. MC, still hidden, went back to his old house to check, only to find his house raided. All the valuables stolen and memorabilias sullied. An example is the MC found his family portrait torn down and stepped on. This obviously resulted in MC killing the guy who did it and cue a funny scene once MC came out as the strongest cultivator in humanity.

Guy's father (just call him A): "Did you kill my son? Don't deny!"

MC PR team was sweating bullets

MC: "yeah, I did it."

A: "WHY?! HE A GOOD BOY!!!!"

MC: "Your good boy trampled on my family portrait."

A: "DOES IT FUCKING MATTER!?"

MC: "It matters enough to me. Tell me, what would you do then?"

And the whole boardroom stayed quiet.

What about the one where the old coots get mc, get his secret and kill him to death?
That actually existed.

The old coot was so high up in the moons because he did grow more powerful after being stagnant for so long. So much so that he stated to himself to kill more of such lucky young geniuses similar to MC to grow in strength.

Then MC came back to life and beat him close to death.

Old coot started to grovel, saying shits like he hadn't harm MC closed ones, to which MC mocked, "it is not that you don't want to. You just can't."

(Old coot managed to kill MC because it was a gangbang by a bunch of old coots. It also helped that they used his loved ones as hostages)

Before completely incinerating old coot's body and soul to nothingness.

Only bad aftermath ? No good aftermath ?

Surprisingly, there are good aftermath, sort of.

For example, a blind swordsman took MC under his wings after seeing his accelerated growth and proceeded to help MC to deter anyone who dared to harm MC. MC was a level two at the time so the villain sent a level seven and a level eight mooks to straight murder MC and his loved ones.

Cue the blind swordsman waddled into villain's lair with the mooks' heads and proceeded to cripple the level ten villain.

Turns out, blind swordsman is level twelve and the crippling only let the villain lived until the next three years. Once the villain died, all the villain's empire and family got swept away by opposition.

Then there is another fun issue, MC revealed that he has accelerated growth and he immediately joined the imperial knight under the knight leader because in the past there was someone similar as him.

But the guy was overly arrogant and somehow he insulted a noble. In the end, the guy was crippled for life; four limbs and back smashed to pieces and mana core ripped out, and was forced to beg in the streets for the rest of his life
