Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to give a shoutout to The Adventum Contest since I was able to complete my 1st novel, Isekaied Player 1, as a result of joining it.
Thank You!
As a closet writer this was a big change for me. I joined the contest to see if I could write 40k words, hit the three main themes and enjoy writing it. I was surprised that I could write that many cohesive words while having fun with it. Without the contest, I'm not sure when and if I would ever dedicate the time and energy needed to write 60k words and let the public read it. Though the story did not get that many views, I was fine with it since I reached my goals. On the plus side, some readers did complete all of it and asked me if I plan to continue with the story after the contest. I plan to continue, but only after taking a break since I need it. The writing and release pace has been too hectic.
I hope my expression of gratitude can help to motivate other unsure writers, like myself, to try to join similar contests in the future since the community around here is usually supportive and helpful.
Once again, Thank You.

What would an ordinary gamer from southern California do if he ended up isekiaed into another world? A world where his modern scientific knowledge was useless and only his love for video games, anime, sci-fi/fantasy stories and engineering were the only reliable tools he could use to help him...
