(Suggestions) Should I turn My Non-Human Novel into a harem novel on the side?

I thought the idea would be funny, but I am seriously considering it now, I mean I won't write it in a serious way, but I was thinking about doing it, and I was wondering if it was a good idea.

For anyone wondering one of my novels is named "Vending Machine In Another World" and I've only got 1 chapter so far

Either way, you'd have haters along the road, so gamble on it.

Are you writing for yourself or for money?

Former, ask yourself if you want a harem.

Latter, ask yourself if you can cash in on them horny bois.

It is your work and whether you like it or not, there might be no people who like it, but there will definitely be people hating it.

Anyway, Vending Machine In Another World is too similar to a Japanese novel, already been translated on Novelupdates for the past 5 years. Try to change the title or the story a little bit. Something along the lines of 'Vending Machine of Doom' (where the vending machine dispenses addictive sugary sodas that eventually cause everyone to die from diabetes) or 'The Heroic Vending Machine Mecha' (where the vending machine can transform into a giant monster-beating gundam) or 'Vending Machines Need Love Too!' (a smut where girls make love to vending machines). Otherwise, you will be accused of plagiarism. Whether it really is plagiarism or not, the person accusing you wouldn't care. They probably wouldn't even read the story.

As for whether or not to make it a harem, that's up to you. Ai-chan has heard people saying they hate harem, and there are also people who said they look for harem and some others don't care at all. It's all up to what kind of people you want to be your fans.

I think I will just drop my Vending Machine Novel and instead work on my Lamp one. I completely didn't know that there were already vending machine novels out there already.
