Reincarnator novel for reference:(https://www.novelupdates.com/series/reincarnator/)
From what I could remember, the novels starts off with the MC transmigrating or rather becoming conscious that he's in a novel/game(?) world and choosing the hard difficulty for the tutorial area where he meets with multiple side characters and the FML. The novel/game world is like that of Reincarnator's with different areas and to move through the next level you need to clear the area you're in.
I remember vaguely that the FML had some sort of save scumming power with three save slots max. I also recall a chapter telling an alternate timeline where the FML gives up trying to save the ML from some sort of correction from powerful being due to his transmigrating into the world.
The novel for the most part was told from the MC's perspective with little to no dialogue between the Protagonists. It was mostly just the MC giving exposition after exposition dispersed by the occasional insert dialogue.
