Read way too much CN on my part and tired of the same-o "foreign powers bully China" thing.

Can be mongols. Can be the eight nations. Definitely non-stop yapping on the Rape of Nanking.

Yes, I know this is the equivalent to Nazi invasion and all the horrible horrible things that happened in WW2.

The sense of nationalism is always charming, to be honest.

But it does get stale, especially when I then flip through modern theme CN or just general EN JP KR and not having the whole "constantly getting buggered by foreign powers" dripping into my eyeholes.

Annoyance over.

It's normal.

American novels are obnoxious 100% national exceptionalism, religion, or, in the newer interaction, identity politics, and of course, total ignorance that the rest of the world even exists.

Russian novels are almost always either obsession with the corrupted bureaucracies, or nationalism, or fascism & communism (the WW2 appropriate, not the present day insults Americans throw at each other) and of course, the aforementioned World War 2.

Chinese are obsessed with "unequal treaties" (outcome of the Opium Wars, if you wonder, irl), their brand of nationalism, same exceptionalism, and of course Xianxia (which is Taoist interpretation how fantasy works, not necessarily religious)

Russians and Chinese have a copious amount of time travel trying to fix the past in their pulp novels ...

...while Americans think they are great (thus no need to change the past), and go full on bragging and lecturing instead.

My story is about a war between the Gilded Horde and the Reclamation Army. The Reclamation Army is an imperialistic, warmongering nation trying to reunite the world after the apocalypse, while the Gilded Horde is a gathering of clans seeking to conquer the world because a "devil" offered their leader power and thus insulted her, leading to the world conquest to find and murder the bastard who dared to think her weak. The invasion itself starts in chapter 71.

The MCs are mutants and part of the Reclamation Army and end up on the front lines of repelling the said invasion. Is that something you are interested in?
