So basically, another fun novel I'm doing is an old novel that I had dropped on Royal Road.

it was basically going to be solo leveling but with good characters or at least an attempt.

I decided to revamp my old novel to not only make it better but take a lot of inspiration form solo leveling to make a better one. Especially since Level Up was going in a good direction, but it was going a little too fast since the chapters were shorter.
It was also the most chapters I've ever released. (53 Chapters) :blob_okay:

(Basically, it's a love letter to my first Manhwa and a way for me to do what I wished I saw in Solo Leveling.) :blob_aww:

(I know this isn't really a milestone because, you know, it's not like Solo Leveling is that well written anyway. Forgettable characters, growth far too fast, you know.) :blob_unamused:

If you ever want to check it out, go ahead. Much love :blob_cookie:

Dude, your title is too generic. There are plenty of novels with titles that include 'level up'. Potential readers will have a hard time finding your fiction in search results. Please read the following thread:

While that is certainly true, its meaning is actually meant to be broader in my story.

The system only being one example. I want tit to be more about self-improvement, about Leveling Up to be better than you are before.
Whether physically or mentally, which are the challenges my MC and the side characters must do.

So, while it is generic, it actually sells the entire meaning behind the novel. Even a genetic title can be seen as good if enough people read it.

I mean, SSS Class revival hunter is a pretty generic name, but it also has some great moment in the novel that I can separate it from all those other SSS novels.

Understandable, but what Eldoria said is true.

Even if for you, your title means something, or your story is different, the only way to convince a reader to pick your work amongst the sea of similar novels is:

1) an intriguing title
2) an attractive cover
3) a convincing synopsis
4) combination of these

Well, I'm not judging your artistic choice in choosing a title. You're the author. But consider how readers will search for your fiction... there are hundreds of similar titles.

Will you make them scroll from page to page to find yours? At least provide a subtitle to make it easier to find your fiction without diminishing the artistic value of your title.

I actually did look it up and it appeared pretty fast. In fact, my title is similar only to one other and that one has a '!' in his title so it actually isn't hard to find mine, especially with there being only one page.

But he is right, I'll just have to one day hope I earn enough money to get a better cover other than making it in canvas and then having Ai make it look a bit nicer and change the title when I can figure out something better.

And I don't know what a subtitle is, can you tell me?

A subtitle is an additional explanation of the title.

For example, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. Frieren is the title. Beyond Journey's End is the subtitle.

There are too many stories with that in the title (from "Level Up Zombie" to "I Level Up" to an anthology of short stories, to a web site of AI generated LitRPG fiction) for it to stand out (I have the same problem with one of mine, Strange Awakening, but I'm leaving it as-is unless I decide to publish for money somewhere - though would probably go with the title of a non-existent comic book mentioned in Between Earth and Pyrroth - "Sparrow: Strange Awakening" if I did).

Don't let these people run over you! Just because you like your books title doesn't change the fact that;

Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

So you do you, and let people like me steal your readers with my old man and some doors on my cover.

=P
