Heheh, without you, I wouldn't have this. 100x times better with your advice :3 and I added the light I had forgotten. I kinda used a simplified version of the riley method to do this one. :3 Circles, lines are my best friend, but expressions were my downfall.

So, I have decided to cut up my chapters and stuff... But I have also decided to add 1 scene to every chapter. Trying to make it into a visual novel of sorts. I just finished my very first scene. It is fully original, no tracing this time from me on this one. It took me a whole day to make, and I am kinda proud of my achievement, so here I am to post it.

Did it turn out cute guys? It's my very first try at doing anything original. I think the tracing actually taught me a thing or two. (Still have much to learn.)

the face is very unsettling... maybe because of that little mustache-like thing on the top of his (I'm guessing it's a he... seems pretty gender-neutral) mouth being there... also maybe because it seems like the legs get smaller and smaller... and also his eyes and eyebrows are weirdly placed... too close to the forehead...

xD well for first attempt it isn't bad. Which is why i say i hate drawing kids. The legs and arms are supposed to be small.

And that is his lip xD. Maybe i will fix it again later. But I see what you mean about the eyes and brows. c: maybe remove upper.lip hm...
