Remember last time, I asked people here for advice to give our students? Well, yesterday (at least here), I made full use of those stuff. Our school officially founded a literature and graphic novels' club meant to teach children on how to write novels, and graphic novels.

It's nice when the club adviser is an otaku. My colleague really persisted in making that happen, and he also tapped me as the 'resource speaker' a.k.a. 'the other teacher teaching that club'...though of course, it'll put additional workload on me because I'm already our school's graphic artist, ICT coordinator, and system developer (aside from my regular duties teaching six classes per day). But nah, I love teaching students, especially in drawing and writing, so hopefully, something good comes out of this.

Oh yeah, why did I share this? Maybe I'm just too excited? But yeah, I just wanna update people, especially those who helped me with the advices.

Did the advice go over well, or should we expect them to show up on the forums in a few years asking the same questions that have been asked and answered?

I don't know for now; but you'll see in the future.

I gave them options: traditional publishing, digital publishing, and a combination with one of those two together with self-publishing. So I guess, if they do come here, feel free to welcome them.

Their outputs will be a full novel (I mean, a complete work, around 30k to 70k words, equal to a novella or light novel), or a graphic novel, though I told my colleague it'll take time to get those done. So our consensus is to give them the entire school-year to finish their works, while we guide them.

Hopefully, we will produce an entire generation of writers. The Philippine literary scene is in need of more talented peeps.

Just please keep them away from vanity press options. they don't need that headache, trust me. *^^*
